Three years ago from today, Mr Alkhaffaf and his team performed cardio-oesophagectomy on me at the MRI. I am now in excellent health (provided that I manage my dietary intake!). I lead a full life, largely concerned with painting, and in the last three years have been on holiday in England, Scotland, Venice and Paris, and am off to the Arctic soon. While I was in hospital under Mr Alkhaffaf's care he was frank and informative but sensitive and caring, and made himself directly responsible for my wellbeing throughout my treatment. I constantly remain extremely grateful for his expertise and his own individual contribution to my care. Brian Stone

I had a gastric balloon removed by Dr Bilal at the spires hospital in manchester and the whole experience was very pleasant and professional from start to finish. I was informed about what would happen step by step and the staff were very kind and friendly and made me feel comfortable.
