Reviews
Mr Freeman, showed kindness and compassion to me during my three appointments. He was very positive in his approach and I'm delighted to report that the steroid injection in my ankle was a great success - thank you! I highly recommend him to all.
I visited Mr Freeman as a private patient after false diagnosis by GP and A & E. I was suffering with a right big toe bunion and bone spur which over time became very debilitating. It also resulted in ligament damage in my outer ankle, right foot, and was impacting on being able to use my left foot.
My feet were constantly painful, often swollen. Sometimes I was unable to weight-bear at all and was having to keep my feet evaluated for days.
It was such a relief to be correctly diagnosed. Mr Freeman advised a right keyhole bunion correction. He reassured me that my condition was completely ‘fixable’. Many people (friends and relatives) advised me against having the surgery saying that the procedure was very painful and that I would be in so much pain post op and recovery would be protracted.
I had the operation on 1st September 2021 and immediately felt like a new woman. I was able to fully weight-bear on leaving hospital using the flat shoe provided by the hospital and physiotherapist.
I had NO pain after the surgery. Within 3 weeks I was in training shoes and by week 4 I was back in the gym – something I thought I would never be able to do again!
The keyhole correction has revolutionized the procedure of bunion correction. Keyhole has shortened the recovery time, and honestly there was no pain post-surgery. Mr Freeman is an expert who has completely changed my life, allowing me to do all the things I couldn’t previously: walking the dogs, exercising, dancing. But more importantly allowed me to enjoy my life again and be completely pain free. I would recommend Mr Freeman to anyone, a genius!
Explained conditions and options very clearly. On the day of procedure was reassuring and I felt in expert hands.
Mr.Freeman explained everything clearly to me before my operation and answered any questions that I had. He was very helpful in letting me know what I could and couldn't do when I was discharged, again answering all my questions. When I saw him at my outpatients appointments he was very encouraging and friendly, offering advice on what more I could do to facilitate my healing. A fine doctor.
Mr Freeman was hugely informative, patient and supportive. He gave me more time than any other consultant I've met and really used that time to understand my issue and views on this. I would highly recommend him to anyone and now wouldn't see any other consultant regarding lower leg issues.
I would also like to add that his secretary is absolutely first class as well. Very clear, efficient and friendly communication. Made things very easy and pleasant either side of the appointments.
