Great care from overworked staff. Food very good
My time in the hospital was short, within that timeframe the staff were very respectful, kind, caring, explained anything I didn't understand. And I can't thank enough for their care.
The only downside was I couldn't stay longer. I was in the new part of the hospital, my room was lovely and spacious, clean and very kept.
The food was very good too.
A very clean hospital.
Excellent staff.
I was treated with dignity and gentle care at all times.
Food was surprisingly very good.
I was admitted to Brighton hospital after an accident, the doctors and staff in resus and A&E were excellent, well done!
From A&E I was transferred to a Trumra ward, some of the care on the ward was excellent, but this was spoiled by some members of staff behaviouring unprofessionally. I experienced judgemental comments and even negative body language from the nursing staff as did my family too.
Medical doctors on Trumra ward were very good apart from the lack of information regarding what my exact injuries were... Some doctors did not discuss or even explain why some medication was prescribed...
Overall my experience at Brighton Hospital has been mixed...
Everyone I came in contact with at the RSCH & PRINCESS ROYAL were kind ,caring and looked after me so well .especially my surgeon Ms Johnson & my hand therapist Nobu .
I have received excellent care from professor Mahmood Bhotta and Doctor Nicholas Saunders and their medical teams regarding an ENT condition. I am very impressed with the standard of medical care that I received. This was very professional and I am very grateful for this.
I have stayed in and I also have to visit EACU fortnightly. All of the team are so caring and kind. I have 'Paolo' take my bloods as I'm now so difficult to do as my veins are not good.
Paolo is always so professional. He makes me feel very at ease and is always reassuring. Please give him some recognition.
I've been going there for almost 3 years so have got to know most of the team. They ALL work extremely hard.
The spinal team are amazing too. My practitoner 'Jen' is fab and also deserves recognition.
Blue-light admission straight into A&E. 8 people initially caring for me & a CT scan within 15 minutes. Keyhole operation that evening to remove an Ischaemic small intestine issue followed by further abdo op. 2 days later.
Care, nursing & medical attention all superb.
Discharge on Day 7 & a recall to EACU on Day 10. That was not good & a separate complaint actioned - total contrast to the superb care of the 6-day stay.
The speed of my tests, diagnosis and treatment have been better than my expectations given the situation of the NHS. I feel as a teaching hospital that Royal Sussex is as good a place to find yourself if you are diagnosed with cancer.
The post operative care following the initial surgery was a little remis in my opinion and not enough care and restriction was taken of the elbow joint which may have lead to the fixation failure.
