Miss Anita Hazari & Team, Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.
I had a routine mammogram in Brighton and was subsequently invited back to the breast assessment unit for further tests. Over the following weeks, - I had various tests, biopsies and consultations to explain and discuss my options. I was accepting of everything but fearful too, whilst preparing myself for a unilateral mastectomy and maybe reconstruction at a later time. I was anxious and not wanting to share my feelings with family and friends - to avoid them worrying about me…
Then - fortunately, I had a consultation with Miss Anita Hazari at the QVH - saying thank you - is just not enough; I felt totally blessed to have met Anita and I left my consultation feeling at ease, reassured and that I would have an immediate reconstruction (DIEP Surgery) and symmetry reduction.
I instantly felt better about everything, detail was explained - in a way that I was able to quickly grasp and understand.
I had my Surgery on 5th September 2023, everything went as planned; I healed well without complication - and I have ‘sisters’
I have regular treatment here and usually all is very good. However the appontment centre and medical secretaries do not workwell.
When calling the staff are aggressive and do not have a good word to say about the consultants staff or NHS.
It really is such a shame given he state of affairs at the moment and the consutnats are brilliant. The male medical secretaries really should not be employed.
Whilst this hospital is fantastic the clerical staff need training especially the medical secretaries.
The males have completely lost the ability to care and seem to have no intelligence at all.
Appointments always cancelled last minute and not notified.
If you are not notified you will not tuen up wasting the NHS more and more money. This is down to the the secretaries. Of course his is the patients fault.
The appointment staff need to be trained in courtesy as the hospital is being let down and it is not funding.
I was assessed in Caterham Dene Minor Injury Clinic presenting with trauma to the head and a deep facial wound and referred to the Queen Victoria Hospital Trauma Clinic.
On arrival at the clinic I was greeted with such kindness and care and big thank you to SMO Poppy and the nurse who made me feel so safe throughout the procedure. I was extremely anxious and the reassurance and professional advice and care received was extremely comforting. The service provided to me was outstanding and exceeded my expectations and one I shall never forget.
excellent hospital excellent staff
I was referred by Dr Fielding at Moatfield for an x-ray at the Queen Vic, which found a shadow on my lung. I then was referred for a CT scan. I now have the results of the scan, which show nothing suspicious except for a mild infection for which antibiotics have been prescribed. The whole process from seeing my GP to the results received today (28th May) took only 2 ½ weeks. I just wanted to thank everyone involved at the Queen Vic who dealt with me so quickly, efficiently and with care.
This review is based on the medical secretaries. Abusive phone calls being called liar and told that patients are a waste of space.
The man concerned advises making complaints and asking for compensation why? It was all because of him.
He tell me that the NHS should be privatised.
I have had to bar the hospital number
I recently had breast reduction surgery at Queen Victoria hospital
The entire service provided is outstanding
I thank each and every one of the staff who cared for me during my pre op appointments hospital stay and post op care
The care and treatment I received at the QVH was brilliant.
