Mr. Rath was most polite and explained things fully to me about my condition and what my treatment would be.
I had no reservations about my operation as I felt I would be in safe hands.
His team were also polite and helpful.

L5 /S1 Prolapsed Disk - Microdiscectomy
I first met Mr Rath in September 2020 after having several years of back pain which had suddenly worsened in August. I have to say from our very first meeting Mr Rath was very easy to talk to and it was clear he knew exactly what the problems were with my back even before an MRI scan took place. He explained all of the symptoms that I was suffering at the time and why they should occur in a very easy to understand manner. I had the operation on the 12th October 2020, since then I have gained the feeling down the back of my leg and some of my foot but he said this may take longer. I am now able to walk nearly normally after physiotherapy as my right foot is now strong enough to be weight bearing. I cant thank him enough for his professionalism, skill and kindness throughout my time in his care and would thoroughly recommend him to anyone needing spine surgery. Sam

I was referred to Mr Rath after suffering for several years with severe pain in my neck. I had an initial consultation with Mr Rath who explained that my discs were badly worn and I needed a spinal fusion. He carried out a disc fusion on C4/5 and C5/6. At the time he explained everything in a very easy way to understand but also a professional way. I felt very confident and comfortable about the operation.
The operation took place on the 30th January and it has been a long road to recovery. At last after 9 months I feel that things have turned a corner and my condition has improved dramatically. Mr Rath did explain to me that it could take up to a year and this has proven to be so. He even took the time to call me a few weeks after the operation to see how my recovery was progressing.
I would just like to say thank you to Mr Rath and his team for improving my quality of life. A very nice man who is very good at his job.
