Had previously been dropped by the Opthamology Dept with no explanation for annual tests. Some years later was referred again by my optician. I appreciate covid was around and the aftermath lingers, however this hospital states an average 23 week wait to be seen and a maximum wait of 38 weeks. After waiting 75 weeks for an initial appointment I wrote a letter of complaint and that was completely ignored too. Staff that provide treatment were previously a delight to deal with, the management not so.
This is a very well organised hospital. Staff are all extremely professional, from reception staff to cleaners, catering, auxiliary and senior nursing, all the way to pharmacist, anaesthetist and surgeons. Not only that they all succeed in making you feel safe and comfortable during stressful procedures ( I have had several here!)
If you have to have an operation, this is the place
After being transferred from Wales to The Countess I found the process at the Countess very professional. From the moment I was admitted all staff showed respect and cared for me in a professional manner. The medical care was excellent and Mr Iqbal and his medical team went above and beyond. The care I received was on a parr to private care. The follow up and after care has been excellent too.
I would like to thank the staff in the nuclear radiology dept. I attended an appointment on Monday 20/04/2020 to have a scan. Shirley the radiologist was exceptionally caring and professional as were her two assistants Yvonne and Katie. Many thanks to you all. With the added pressure at this extraordinary time in our history I applaud them. Please let them know.. many many thanks
I received great care at the hospital whilst I was admitted.
Fantastic staff. Very attentive and caring.
I stayed in the Counntess of Chester mental hospital in 2015.
The staff were very kind and caring. The nursing staff were wonderful. I became very, very unwell after going being admitted and the nursing staff were very patient with me. And the Responsible Clinician, Swayams was brilliant with his lovely junior doctors.
Thanks so much to all that helped me.
I was programmed for a colonoscopy on Saturday morning, 14th October. All staff volunteered to work overtime. It ran to time, the consultant Mr Dala Vimalachandran was extremely kind and helpful. Unforntunately because of a very tight segment in the bowel and severe diverticular disease, he could not complete the examination. He and the nurese, especially Alison and Anna were excellent.
I went to the Countess around 5pm on the 21/07 after cutting inside my knuckle on my first finger of my left hand. Although I had a 2hr wait I fully understand the reasons why this occurred. When I was called through to be treated I was seen by a nurse called John who dealt with my injury quickly and efficiently. He talked me through each step and made me feel at ease, he put a couple of butterfly stiches in my finger and I was seen to in 10 mins. A++
Thanks
After giving birth I had to stay in for a week and baby spent 2 days in scbu. And could not fault a member of staff from doctors to midwifes healthcare, domestic. Each and every one was Fantastic. I would highly recommend this hospital for maternity care xx
