I was dealt with in a very timely manor. The care I received was impeccable. Staff very friendly and informed me of everything and my choices
On Wednesday the 5th of February I attended the countess of Chester Hospital.
I gave my name in at 3.50pm , went into triage, back in to waiting area, called my name and went in for bloods , back into the waiting area, called my name and I went for an X-ray, taken to an area for treatment nebuliser, then steroids, then meds to come home with. This was all completed by 7.50pm .well done
I attended the countess of Chester hospital yesterday evening 10/12/24 for a MRI scan I was very nervous for this particular scan to say the least but the staff and team there were above and beyond and having a MRI was fine I can only say thank you to the team of staff for there help getting me through the MRI and I would say that the scan went excellent as staff reassured me with every process thank you best wishes
do not go to this hosptial alone if you are truly unwell! I had sepsis last year I was left asleep under a blanket for 8 hours in waiting room as we know for sepsis that's a death sentence, they lost my blood work had to re take it which made me faint i was treated like I was faking it after doin my obs she realised I wasn't in fact faking and was really poorly, I was then left on a&e room all night I was completely forgotten about I had to go in the hall ways and beg anyone to get me a drink I was so dehydrated, I was begging for a nurse or doctor to help me I felt like I was dying, after 6 hours no checks no medication someone finally came in took m observations my temp was 39.8 he was so concerned that i had been left for so long, after that my partner did not leave my side making sure he was chasing up where my next bag of antibiotics and fluids were. I am young fit mother of 2 children who got unbelievably lucky to not die after being forgotten about so if your loved one is I'm hospital there I beg you stay with them and make sure they're well looked after, I will never ever go to this hosptial or have anyone i love go there, awful place to be, horrible rude staff no one cares it's awful, some nurses were rushed off their feet as others stood gossiping at the computers, my partner found out I had sepsis due to them gossiping about me in bay 3 of a&e and he realised that was me, they never told me once what was wrong he just happened to overhear gossip, if you take anything from this just don't leave anyone alon there they don't care they are negligent!!
the worst experience of my life I was left for hours on end with SEPSIS put in a A&E ward for days and left me for hours in a room without any medical care they truly forgot about me, they lost my blood work when I first arrived so had to take more which made me pass out because of the sepsis ndkindey infection she was treating me as though I was faking it because of wait times (8 hours) when she checked my vitals she noticed everything had spiked finally putting me in a bay then saw I was still in the bay the next day then getting in a mood seeing me still in a bay and got me to move I think she was called eve and she was Irish, I was crying every time they tried taking my blood or putting a canular in as it was so painful and no one had any sympathy! in a hospital where you should feel safe i was left crying that they were going to let me die after having no medical help for 4 hours lay with sepsis shaking going out into the hallway begging any nurse to help me or grab me a drink as I was so dehydrated eventually the cleaning lady got me a drink! my partner had to stay the entire time he didn't want to leave me he knew they'd let me die, AVOID AT ALL COSTS go to a hospital that truly cares about its paitents, please don't leave any of your loved ones alone with them
Attended for a blood test, phlebotamist called 'Ellie' called me forward. No pleasantries just demands for my details and paperwork!
Aggresperson confusing aggression with assertiveness! Good example of wrong person in the wrong job.
She doesn't know what's wrong with me and how serious it is, she didn't care, as the ticket I collected for the queue, I was just a number!
She obviously needs trying how to treat Jewish respect and manners because she had neither.
Great care by caring professionals
Had previously been dropped by the Opthamology Dept with no explanation for annual tests. Some years later was referred again by my optician. I appreciate covid was around and the aftermath lingers, however this hospital states an average 23 week wait to be seen and a maximum wait of 38 weeks. After waiting 75 weeks for an initial appointment I wrote a letter of complaint and that was completely ignored too. Staff that provide treatment were previously a delight to deal with, the management not so.
This is a very well organised hospital. Staff are all extremely professional, from reception staff to cleaners, catering, auxiliary and senior nursing, all the way to pharmacist, anaesthetist and surgeons. Not only that they all succeed in making you feel safe and comfortable during stressful procedures ( I have had several here!)
If you have to have an operation, this is the place
