L5 /S1 Prolapsed Disk - Microdiscectomy
I first met Mr Rath in September 2020 after having several years of back pain which had suddenly worsened in August. I have to say from our very first meeting Mr Rath was very easy to talk to and it was clear he knew exactly what the problems were with my back even before an MRI scan took place. He explained all of the symptoms that I was suffering at the time and why they should occur in a very easy to understand manner. I had the operation on the 12th October 2020, since then I have gained the feeling down the back of my leg and some of my foot but he said this may take longer. I am now able to walk nearly normally after physiotherapy as my right foot is now strong enough to be weight bearing. I cant thank him enough for his professionalism, skill and kindness throughout my time in his care and would thoroughly recommend him to anyone needing spine surgery. Sam
