Without Conor our family would have been destroyed, he basically saved our sons life, he was with use from start to finish, we were one of the lucky ones and owe Conor everything. Amazing man who should be knighted.

Without an exaggeration, Mr Mallucci is that hero in a white (blue, actually) robe who suddenly comes into your lives when you need one most. We were truly fortunate to have been given his name as the very best specialist neurosurgeon to operate on our teenage son's brain (tumor + massive hydrocephalus) over three years ago. We so wish our son could remain under his care beyond paediatric years. Apart from his professional expertise, Mr Mallucci has a wonderfully caring and reassuring bedside manner. He had made himself available and immediately put us at ease, describing the options in detail and answering our questions thoroughly on every occasion. We had complete trust in both his capable hands and thoughtful care, including our son who did not want to be operated on by anyone else but Mr Mallucci. His team and the staff at Alder Hey were equally wonderful. We are forever indebted and grateful to all who were there for us during those trying weeks, and wish them many more productive years and successes saving lives.

Our 2 year old son Arlo was diagnosed with an ATRT malignant brain tumour. Mr Conor Malluci and his team managed to extract 100 percent of the tumour and have given Arlo the best chance at survival and we are eternally grateful. A few days after his surgery I expressed that I felt Arlo wasn’t himself and seemed to be deteriorating so Beth sent him for a scan. It turned out he needed a shunt fitting to drain his brain fluid as a result of the swelling from the surgery. Within the same night conor malluci came from home to fit the shunt. Outstanding! Arlos lumber puncture result recently came back as negative for cancer cells and he has now started chemotherapy to fight the disease. Thank you for taking care of our baby with such compassion and skill. You will always have a place in our hearts.
