I initially consulted another specialist in an attempt to resolve extreme pain I was experiencing in my right foot and lower leg. This first specialist explained that he thought the problem was in my lower back and not the leg, and so referred me on to Mr Rath. At my first consultation with Mr Rath ,he allowed me to give a full description of my symptoms and explain how the pain was affecting my day to day activities. Following this he gave detailed description of what he considered was causing my problems and was able to recommend an epidural injection in the relevant area as an initial course of action. Mr Rath performed the procedure himself and took great care to put me at my ease, and explain what is happening at every step. Since undergoing the procedure (3 months ago) I have experienced massively reduced levels of pain, and have gone from only being able to walk for 15 minutes or so to walking approximately 2 hours non-stop. Mr Rath has a friendly and approachable manner and has been considerate courteous and professional at every stage of the process. I can only describe the treatment I have received as absolutely first class.

I was referred to Mr Rath by my GP with extreme pain in my neck shoulder and left arm i also had pins and needles in my hand and fingers. On my first consultation Mr Rath in September 2019 he explained I needed to have ACDF surgery to C5/C6 Discs, I was given all the information I needed to make an informed decision about this surgery. I was then admitted to the Walton Centre on the 8th November for surgery, i can only add that the surgery was a complete success and i have no pain in my arm hand or fingers at all. I can now sleep at night something i found very difficult for at least 12 months prior to my surgery. I must add that i found Mr Rath to be a fantastic surgeon and also a gentleman.
