I was suffering for two years with arm and back pain. Mr Rath is the surgeon who took me through the details of why this was occurring, herniated discs at c6 / c7 He was careful to check my understanding whilst explaining, he was clear on risk vs benefit In the day he put me at ease, he was super easy to talk to and friendly. I felt in excellent care under his guidance and under his surgery

Hi, I was under the care of Mr Rath. On the 18th April 2024 I underwent robotic assisted surgery for a SIJ fusion. (Sacral Illiac Fusion). I honestly thought I would have this pain in my joint and leg pain forever. It grinds you down the pain, and I felt desperate. Mr Rath was my hope that this was the answer. I went into Jefferson day unit , kept hydrated and walked down to theatre, were Mr Rath and his excellent team were waiting for me. The team were very reassuring and they introduced themselves to me. Mr Rath kept me up to date and visited me before going to theatre. I was taken to the ward, where the staff were very good. I am not saying it wasn't comfortable, and there is post op pain, but what I can say is I had no leg pain at all. I thought it was the meds and thought see what it's like later. The following morning Mr Rath called to see how I was and how I felt. I can honestly say 100% there was no leg pain at all. My wounds have healed really well, I have had xrays today at my 3month check up , and I am delighted with the outcome. I would urge anybody with this type of pain to carry on and don't give up. Mr Rath has done an amazing,life changing surgery for me. I cannot thank Mr Rath enough, you are an amazing Surgeon, you have changed my life. Never stop being you, you are amazing. Thankyou is not enough.

At age 82 with severe leg pains I consulted Mr Rath. Following my MRI scan he identified that I had a cyst alongside my spine L4 region which was causing all my leg pains. Following an operation by him the pains in my calf and hip joint area all disappeared. Six weeks later I was able to be discharged. Mr Rath listened to my problems with great care diagnosed the correct treatment and successfully operated on me. A total success. I cannot recommend Mr Rath high enough.
