Dr Richard Bogle

I have been under Dr Bogle’s care since 2014 when he first diagnosed multi vessel coronary artery disease. At 48 this was quite a shock as I was fit and well. He recognised that I would need a bypass at some stage but proposed medical management. He arranged regular check-ups and tests. As soon as he recognised my symptoms had worsened he arranged and angiogram and decided bypass surgery was needed. That operation has proved a success and i feel good and optimistic about the future. Dr Bogle is incredibly calming and very good at explaining options and then giving his advice. At one stage he said he could insert stents (and some if his colleagues would) but he personally felt doing so would not benefit me. I could not have felt more looked after over the last 8 years and highly recommended this excellent professional.

Dr. Richard Bogle is an outstanding cardiologist. He is able to translate his knowledge into understandable explanations for his patients and has a friendly and approachable manner that lets patients ask questions and feel truly engaged with their care. I first consulted him six years ago, and also over the past six months. On all occasions he has been very thorough, understanding, and most important of all, very effective in dealing with issues and finding solutions. I recommend him without hesitation. In addition, his two secretaries, Debra and Janet, are highly efficient and very helpful, ready to go that extra mile to secure appointments and obtain information for patients. They make a great team with Dr. Bogle – 27 September 2020.

I saw Dr Bogle for POTS, after a tilt test which made me very symptomatic, however my Dr at home did not diagnose me as they weren’t fully aware of the diagnostic criteria. I found his details on the POTS UK website and I am so glad that I did. Dr Bogle was extremely friendly and welcoming as soon as I walked in. He was considerate of all of my issues and I felt that he listened to me in a very caring manner. He genuinely seems interested in the health and well being of his patients. Not only did he help give me the treatment I need, but he also spotted other conditions which coincide with it, which were all reported back to my NHS Dr. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Having not had good experiences with other Drs in the past, I find it very difficult to trust them but I must say that even in the initial consultation, he was so thorough that I trusted him straight away. He Specialises in cardiology but is extremely knowledgable of other conditions, seems genuinely interested and has clearly done his research. I will definitely be going back. Thank you Dr Bogle.

Charming Doctor in whom I have complete confidence. He read my letter of referal to me which was so reassuring. He understands patients are anxious, he explained all my symptoms and I was totally happy to accept his advice. A very sympathetic and approachable consultant and I would urge anyone needing referral to a Cardiologist to seek an appointment with Dr. Richard Bogle
