I saw Mr Trikha as I had developed fluid on my knees which I became aware of when getting up off the floor while kneeling playing with my young children (4 and 6 and me nearly 56!). At my first consultation Mr Trikha examined me thoroughly and gave me his initial prognosis, explaining what was most likely going on and sent me for MRI scans on both knees. At the subsequent consultation he explained the scan and the medical terminology so that I could understand clearly what was the state of my knees. He told me the degeneration was normal wear and tear, what I had done to develop the fluid on my knees and most importantly that surgery was not required but physiotherapy was the way ahead. I went to the Active8rehab physio team in Chertsey and in 6 weeks have significantly regained the required stability strength in my legs and been given a regular exercise routine that will allow me to keep fit and maintain the status quo. Mr Trikha has ensured through a non invasive therapy that I can continue to ski, cycle and swim without pain and keep enjoying my children as they grow up. His expert knowledge and clear explanation of what is going on took the mystery out of what was occurring and his engagement with me as my practitioner was exceptional as was the course of treatment he advised me to take. I would thoroughly recommend using his services.

I have seen Mr Trikha several times over the years for treatment of an arthritic knee and have always been impressed with his knowledge, skill and customer care. Recently I had a fall and injured my knee. Some weeks after a visit to A&E I was again in considerable pain, so I visited Mr Trikha. His immediate suspicion was that there might have been a fracture that had not been apparent initially. He advised further X-rays and then organised further checks which revealed that there was indeed a hairline fracture of the femur. His advice, follow-up activities and care have resulted in correct diagnosis and a treatment plan for my condition. I have utmost confidence in Mr Trikha and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone with knee problems.

I hobbled into Mr Trikha's consulting room just before Christmas, after examination and x-rays he diagnosed a total knee replacement. 2 weeks after the op I was running up and down the corridor with no pain for the first time in over 3 years. WOW! Mr Trikha, and his team are fantastic. The Nuffield aftercare was and is outstanding and I know my fast recovery so far is down to all of them, thank you.

I broke the anterior cruciate ligament of my left knee some months ago. I have BUPA insurance and Mr Paul Trikha was recommended to me. He examined me and, after a few minutes, I had an appointment for an MRI for the next day. And another appointment, with him, for the day after that to see the results. He explained me my options and operated on me shortly afterwards. The surgery was short, it took 40 minutes. The recovery was also shorter than I thought, on the same day I was walking with crutches and the next day I was sent home. During the whole process I suffered very little pain, before and after the surgery. I took ibuprofen because I was told to, not because I needed it. Mr Trikha recommended me to rent the ice machine Game Ready for one month after the surgery. I wasn't sure if it was worth the price instead of using the traditional bag of frozen peas. But, after using it, I think it does make a difference. It kept the temperature of the knee constant for long periods of time, although we had to come up with ways of generating lots of ice. During the first month I was most of the time connected to the Game Ready, only stopping to do some exercises. Paul also recommended physiotherapist Tom Williams, from active8rehab. With his help, doing exercises from cycling to going to the gym, the knee has been getting stronger every day. I think it is stronger now than it was before the surgery :), even though there are still a couple of months until the recovery is complete. I can only praise Paul and Tom. I am very happy to have done the surgery. I dedicate quite a lot of time to recover the knee, going to the gym 3 times a week and running twice a week, but it has been better than I expected and with very little pain.
