I did an awful lot of research before I decided to have private consultation with Mr Turton at the Nuffield Hospital in Leeds. I can honestly say it is the best decision I have ever made. From the moment we met, Mr Turton was just so lovely, putting me at ease straight away and explaining everything about the procedure I was contemplating. I already knew he was an amazing, very knowledgeable, very experienced and well respected surgeon from my research. A couple of my old work colleagues had also spoken of their experiences a few years previously. It was different circumstances as unfortunately they were cancer sufferers at that time but are now I am happy to say cancer survivors. I decided to go ahead with a bi-lateral breast reduction with deep plane mastopexy (uplift) after my breasts went through a drastic change during and after menopause. Mr Turton assured me he could make things much better for me not only aesthetically but also the reduction would reduce the heaviness, the strain on my neck and shoulders and that clothing would fit much better once my breasts were back in the right proportion to the rest of my body plus uplifted which also makes a big difference. I am now 4 month post surgery. My scars are healing extremely well (despite my thin skin due to prolonged use steroid inhalers which is unfortunately necessary for me) I am using the Scar Gel as recommended twice per day. I still have a way to go before all my stitches fully dissolve in about 9 month post the date of my operation. But I can honestly say I feel like a different person. My confidence has grown massively and I am no longer embarrassed to wear a T Shirt or swimwear. I no longer hide under baggy sweatshirts. As I said previously not only is Mr Turton an amazing surgeon, and an expert in his field, he is also an amazing person. The care and after care I received throughout my surgery and follow up appointments from Mr Turton and his breast care nurse Gerry was second to none. They really do care a lot about their patients. Thank you so much you have changed my life completely and I am absolutely thrilled with my results and to have my confidence back. Thank you is not a big enough word to express my gratitude. I cannot tell you how highly I would recommend Mr Turton but it’s definitely over a million percent. Thank you so so much!!

I cannot thank Mr Turton and the breast care nurses enough they’re just the best!! From my initial consultation I just knew I wanted Mr Turton to do my breast lift. He is understanding, kind, professional and always has time to answer your questions throughly. His lovely nurses are so supportive, patient and are always at the end of the phone. The surgery went amazing and so are my results, I just wish I have taken the plunge and done it sooner. I had minimal pain after surgery and recovered quickly. Having a breast lift has made a huge difference to my life, I finally feel confident in my own skin and can wear things I wouldn’t have been able to wear before. I would recommend anyone thinking of having breast surgery to go see Mr Turton. From start to finish I had the best care and I will never forget it. Thank you again, I will be forever grateful ❤️

Dr Turton and his team were great from start to finish, professional and caring. I felt very comfortable in uncomfortable circumstances . Dr Turton explained every aspect of surgery and the timeline and expected results of my two operations,. I couldn’t recommend him enough and I am very happy with my results.

I cannot recommend Mr Turton and the breast care outpatient team at spire Leeds enough. From the initial consultation, the surgery, the inpatient care and my outpatient care my personal journey and the service provided has been second to none. I have always been a very big busted lady and suffered physically and mentally in particular with body image. For me I will never look back from having breast reduction and lift surgery. I have degenerative spinal disease and I feel like a weight has literally been lifted. I feel more confident in myself and my posture has much improved. I felt an unprecedented amount of support post surgically from the breast care nurses Di and Gill. They always had the time and patience to care for me and I knew they were reachable at the end of the phone. I had minimal pain and any issue I had dealt with immediately. They really do represent what the 6 Cs of nursing are all about. Mr Turton always made me feel comfortable, normally I have been embarrassed about my breasts but he has never once made me feel self conscious. He goes above and beyond for his patients ensuring attention to detail and that his work meets the high standards expected by his patients. The results are outstanding. My only regret is that I didn't have this surgery sooner! Wendy Gautrey
