This doctor saved my life. I went into emergency A&E with a bloated stomach, severe pains along with explosive diaherria & vomiting. Within a matter of hours Mrs Craig Team were around me in a side room urging me to stay in hospital as I was wanting to discharge myself. After further tests I was one meal away from a perforated bowel and my Chron's had come back with a mega vengeance. Mrs Craig was the one to break this news to me and explained I needed emergency surgery and a temporary Stoma, she then drew what her and her team planned to do and that I had to cancel my much awaited family holiday. I freaked out and through tears asked for a bit more time to take it all in and tell my family. I had never even heard of a Stoma before! Mrs Craig seen -my fear and told me to watch a YouTube upload of a girl who had gone through my ordeal, I could relate to his girl so much and it calmed me some as I am the biggest whimp lol. As an Outpatient Mrs Craig explained that pending the results of various tests I will be going in for surgery to have my Stoma put back inside 17th October. She explained the whole procedure, made sure that that I was comfortable with everything and asked if I had any further questions. Mrs Craig has a wicked sense of humour which made my whole experience less frightening / daunting. She really has a way of.putting extremely nervous patients at ease, I just love her and trust her 1001%.

We came to see Mrs Craig with my mum who is 83 for the first time this week and she was amazing. Mum said she put her mind at rest and will be having all her tests and trusts Mrs Craig's opinion on if she should proceed with an operation. On behalf of all the family we thank Mrs Craig and Sister Tracey Purcell for all kindness and help they are giving Mum.

Mrs Craig was so helpful and caring. Everything she did and said was excellent. My mother is the patient and is 87 years old and was treated with all the respect and care in the world. Thank you again for you great treatment. Mrs Doreen Hughes.

Mrs Craig gave me total confidence in her ability to conduct my bowel surgery. She explained things clearly, and in detail, both pre and post op. The surgery was a complete success although unexpected complications delayed both my discharge from hospital and subsequent recovery. Everything she said turned out to be correct and she answered all my questions fully and in detail. Her nurses, led by Sister Tracey Purcell, are outstanding also. Along with Mrs Craig, they make a great team. They helped me enormously during a stressful period, with care and consideration, and always answered my calls promptly. They really helped to put me at ease. Both pre and post op they gave me great advice. I am now cancer free though will need several years of follow ups.
