Always clean, good directional signage and helpful outpatient reception
First, I would like to say that this is one of the most attractive hospitals I have been to. It might seem an odd thing to say, especially about a hospital, but the majestic blossom trees and cosy courtyards made a huge difference to my mood on an otherwise acutely stressful day. It probably helped that one of my special interests is birds and I saw a big fat wood pigeon feasting on the blossom while a brazen magpie wobbled on a nearby branch, yelling at it.
Before my visit here, I had a pre-op phonecall where I informed the nurse that I have sensitivities to sound, light, and unfamiliar social situations which can sometimes culminate in high levels of stress and me going non-verbal. On the day, I believe I was given my own room to mitigate these issues. This very much helped me to self-regulate that morning. I was also seen very quickly on the day, the importance of which can't be overstated.
Every single person I spoke to in the short time I was here was wonderful, not the least of whom was the nurse who patiently took my details despite an interruption by my surgeon followed almost immediately by another from the anaesthetist. I can't remember the nurse's name, unfortunately, but I do remember talking to her about mother tongues and old languages, particularly Cymraeg and Urdu. We talked about the loss of culture through the dwindling of such languages through the generations. It might seem only a little thing to some, but this meaningful conversation really helped to ground me on the day, helping me to keep a level head while giving me lots of food for thought in the future.
These great grounds and stellar staff gave me an excellent experience on what could have been a seriously stressful day.
The entire team were very welcoming and friendly. The hospital was very clean. Everything was explained to me in detail (the procedure, the anaesthesia, etc) , and after surgery if I needed anything (water, toast, pain relief for example) the nurses were happy to get it for me.
A great team who put their patients first.
Everyone I spoke to during my treatment were respectful, kind and made me feel as calm and safe as possible even when I started to become anxious, I couldn't be happier with the experience, everything was great :)
I cannot thank all the staff at the hospital!! So very lucky that so many amazing people work there, taking care of so many people. The nursing team were absolutely amazing, they were polite and friendly the whole time and looked after me as if I were royalty!
Thank you all
Thanks to all on Ward 12 Day Care - without exception everyone we met treated us with care and respect
I recently had a Endoscopy and then a Colonoscopy and received wonderful care and
kindness from all your staff. I have already sent thank you cards to both departments’ but my daughter has now said that I should email you. All your staff were outstanding on both occasions and now I have received the wonderful news that all findings are
benign. I am very grateful to have received such wonderful support from all of you
during this very anxious time. We are so very lucky to have such wonderful people
working in the NHS.
Attended walk in centre Wednesday 14 th July at approx 4pm. All staff, from security at entrance, triage nurse, doctors and nurses were excellent. Extremely friendly and reassuring Could not have asked for better NHS staff. Thank you
I mainly went to Trafford in relation to arthritis to see specialist nurses and to have bloods taken and reviewed.
Staff are easy to deal with and appointments generally running to time. They do a good job in a part of the hospital which is quite old in terms of facilities.
I have to visit the Rheumatology dept. Regularly with my condition, they are always so helpful and caring, cannot think how they could improve on what they already do.
