Mr Trikha has been absolutely fantastic in dealing with my son’s knee injury. He operated on my 10-year old son after he tore his ACL last year, and he is professional, kind and efficient and I felt my son was in the very best hands at this scary time. It’s been a long road to recovery, but Mr Trikha has made the journey so much easier for my son, including recommending a fantastic physio therapist and continually working with with us to aid recovery. We have nothing but positive things to say about Runnymede Hospital and all the staff who have looked after us every step of the way.

I saw Mr Trikha through the NHS originally but transferred to see him privately when I had no operation date 4 months after my injury. I got an appointment with him on the same day and was booked in for the operation within 2 weeks. In January I had a complex knee surgery with ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair and microfracture. This meant a long period of recovery wearing a knee brace and lots of intensive physio. Mr Trikha recommended some excellent physiotherapists. 3 months on and I am very pleased with my progress and the stability I now have in my knee. I feel much more confident in what I can do with it as a result. Mr Trikha’s consultations are quick but effective- I trust that he knows his area of expertise and he is also reassuring when I have niggles or worries. He has also been welcoming and accommodating to my partner when he has also attended my consultations and answered all our questions. RP

I could not recommend this surgeon highly enough. I have had a history of problems with my left knee relating to previous sports injuries when I was much younger. Both previous issues I had were meniscal tears in my left knee, one at the age of 16 and the other at the age of 18. I am now 29 and had carried on playing sports up until about 2 years ago. I have kept as active as possible. I had started to notice my knee swelling after any kind of exercise (including walking). gradually this got worse and it really started to impact my day to day life. I went to see Mr Trikha about my problem. I had a scan and the results were not good. It turned out my knee was basically arthritic. As you can imagine this is not the news that you want to here at any age let alone at under 30. Mr Trikha was very understanding, but told it how it was, which I appreciate greatly. I had 2 surgeries under Mr Trikha, the first was an arthroscopy to clear out debris and see how this affected me. After a few weeks of improvement through Physio, it then went downhill again as activity became greater. I went back to see Mr Trikha as a routine follow up to discuss further options. the only viable option given my age was a meniscal allograph (transplant). It was made very clear to me by Mr Trikha that this was major surgery and not to be taken lightly. Once the decision was taken to go ahead with the surgery by myself, he assured me that he will do everything possible to make this complicated surgery a success. 4 months after surgery and I am on the mend with a great range of motion and continuing my rehabilitation. I still have a long way to go but feel I am heading in a good direction and I am already more comfortable & stable than I was before surgery. I would advise anyone who needs this surgery to do some research and to pick only the best to do it! through my experience with Mr Trikha I would not easily let anyone else near my knees now. You have to put the work in after surgery for this to work so when you go into this kind of surgery be prepared to work hard after! Many Thanks JC

I recently went for my post Opp appointment with Mr Trikha. As always he was very professional listen to how I was feeling and told me to keep exercising my new knee cap. As the replacement is made of titanium it’s not keen on the cold so it takes a little time to warm up I feel like the bionic woman so his advice has been very important just keep going. From the start I haven’t developed a limp because I followed his instructions to the letter. He is an excellent surgeon when my other knee needs doing I will certainly go back to him . Thank you Mr Trikha from Heather MCMahon

Dr Trikha was fantastic. He explained what had happened and how the procedure was going to work in a simple and easy way to understand. Before my surgery Dr Trikha was great and helped calm down any nerves i had going into surgery. We had checkups after the surgery and once again he was fantastic.
