I could not recommend this surgeon highly enough. I have had a history of problems with my left knee relating to previous sports injuries when I was much younger. Both previous issues I had were meniscal tears in my left knee, one at the age of 16 and the other at the age of 18. I am now 29 and had carried on playing sports up until about 2 years ago. I have kept as active as possible. I had started to notice my knee swelling after any kind of exercise (including walking). gradually this got worse and it really started to impact my day to day life. I went to see Mr Trikha about my problem. I had a scan and the results were not good. It turned out my knee was basically arthritic. As you can imagine this is not the news that you want to here at any age let alone at under 30. Mr Trikha was very understanding, but told it how it was, which I appreciate greatly. I had 2 surgeries under Mr Trikha, the first was an arthroscopy to clear out debris and see how this affected me. After a few weeks of improvement through Physio, it then went downhill again as activity became greater. I went back to see Mr Trikha as a routine follow up to discuss further options. the only viable option given my age was a meniscal allograph (transplant). It was made very clear to me by Mr Trikha that this was major surgery and not to be taken lightly. Once the decision was taken to go ahead with the surgery by myself, he assured me that he will do everything possible to make this complicated surgery a success. 4 months after surgery and I am on the mend with a great range of motion and continuing my rehabilitation. I still have a long way to go but feel I am heading in a good direction and I am already more comfortable & stable than I was before surgery. I would advise anyone who needs this surgery to do some research and to pick only the best to do it! through my experience with Mr Trikha I would not easily let anyone else near my knees now. You have to put the work in after surgery for this to work so when you go into this kind of surgery be prepared to work hard after! Many Thanks JC
