My inguinal hernia was operated on as a day case under general anaesthetic. Both the pre and post operative care were excellent. I felt that I understood exactly what was happening and I was very relaxed before the operation. The surgery went extremely well, I had no complications, no real post operation pain after a few days and I am playing football again after 12 weeks. I would definitely recommend Mr Stylianides and wouldn’t hesitate to ‘use’ him again if needs be.. hopefully I won’t though

Mr Stylianides and his team performed a bowel resection on me at the end of June 2023. He removed 15cm of bowel. 10 weeks on from the surgery I have made a full recovery. I had very little discomfort following the operation. He took the time to explain what he would do and on subsequent visits has listened to and answered any questions I’ve had. My experience of him and his team has been very positive.

Mr Stylianides conducted a haemorrhoidectomy, repaired a partial rectal prolapse and removed a cyst for me at Spire hospital in Manchester. My research prior to having this operation made it clear that finding a qualified and experienced colorectal surgeon is the first step in achieving a successful outcome. I can't recommend Mr Stylianides highly enough to anyone who requires this type of surgery. He is a very caring man who has genuine empathy for his patients, a pleasant demeanour and great patience to listen and answer all your questions. Many others have mentioned his skill and professionalism and I agree entirely. The thought of haemorrhoid surgery is daunting for many people, myself included, but if you require it arranging a consultation with Mr Stylianides is the best first step to finding a cure. I was very nervous before the procedure but both he and his team were very reassuring and put me at ease. The recovery from the procedure was quite difficult and painful in the first few weeks, due to the location of the surgery. I had worries during the recovery but Mr Stylianides and his team were always available to answer questions and provide reassurance that everything was progressing well. I am now 6 weeks on from the operation and although I still have some mild pain it is gradually healing well and I expect will be completely healed soon. Best of all, my haemorrhoid and prolapse issues have been resolved and I can now get on with enjoying activities I have put on hold for far too long. I am now committed to a healthy diet and lifestyle to prevent recurrence. Thank you Mr Stylianides, all the staff at Alpha Surgery and all the staff at Spire hospital. You are all stars!

I found Nick to be really nice. He was really good with me and I am on the mend after he carried out a bi-lateral hernia repair on me. The care I received from Nick and the rest of the team at Spire Manchester was very good.
