I had a long history of breathing problems,sore eyes and pain around my eye sockets. I had sinus treatment many years ago which was not a great experience. Fortunately I was referred to Mr Trotter , at this point in time I had total blockage of the nasal passages and life was pretty miserable. He diagnosed multiple nasal polyps. Mr Trotter filled me with confidence from our first meeting. The surgical procedure has been a major success and only an overnight stay in Parkway involved. His pre and post operative care has been excellent ; I can now breath again ,which sounds pretty basic but really is fantastic, having suffered the problem that thankfully is now resolved. From my own experience I would rate Mr Trotter as one of the best doctors I have received treatment from. p.s I found his secretary very good also. always calls back. answers queries etc .

I recently had a consultation with Mr Trotter, after suffering most of my life from snoring and general breathing through my nostrils. After an examination, Mr Trotter recommended a septoplasty operation. He outlined the pros and cons of the operation clearly to me and I decided on the operation. He was very professional and gave me confidence in having the procedure. On the day of the operation Mr Trotter saw me both before and after the operation and helped me feel at ease. The operation has been a great success for me! The day after the operation I could feel the difference - my breathing was so much better through my nostrils and since the operation I have had no snoring whatsoever! I never thought I would be free of this problem. It is now 3 weeks after the operation and my breathing is improving by the day. I saw Mr Trotter for the follow-up appointment and yet again, a very professional and caring manner. I have much to thank Mr Trotter for and would recommend him as an excellent doctor to anyone who has ear, nose or throat problems.

I have recently consulted Matthew Trotter about a condition I have called Labyrinthitis which affects my balance and is very distressing. He was extremely caring, professional, understanding and reassuring and described what was happening to me and what treatment I would need. He put me at ease and answered all my questions about the condition. I am now a few weeks down the line with treatment and physiotherapy and there is certainly improvement even though I have a way to go yet. I cannot thank him enough for his care and I would recommend him to anyone who has this or any other complaint relating to ear, nose and throat.

I have seen Mr Trotter on several occasions for two entirely different problems; one to do with my voice and the other with my hearing. On each occasion I found him to be someone who immediately inspires confidence. He is excellent at explaining the background to the problem and how the investigations he is suggesting (MRI scan etc) can help inform his management. I have always found him reassuring, friendly and professional and he has my complete trust and confidence. In short, he is everything you could want in a consultant specialist. I strongly recommend him.
