Mr Hextall has a kind and reassuring manner. He listens carefully and answers the patients questions clearly and straightforwardly. His own questions are thorough and probing but asked sensitively. What most impressed me however was his skill as a surgeon. I was very anxious about the procedure ( TVT) because although it is classed as a relatively simple procedure, a close friend of mine had had terrible complications with the same procedure in a different part of the country and ultimately it did not correct the problem. My experience was so different - from the consultation to the tests to the procedure itself to the aftercare everything went precisely according to plan and to a timetable of my choosing. Recovery was exactly as had been explained to me and the scars are tiny, virtually invisible. Margaret (Mr H's secretary) was very approachable and helpful with any queries that I had. The entire process was as painless ( in all senses of the word) as possible and I am delighted with the results- I would unreservedly recommend Mr Hextall and his team for this procedure.

Andrew Hextall made me feel completely at ease from our first consultation,through my procedure and after care. He was very sincere,professional and approachable throughout; with what was a very intimate procedure we even managed a few laughs along the way. He was thorough in the information provided in terms of what happens next, the actual procedure and after care. I had to make an early return to see him again due to a concern I had, I was fortunate enough to be able to see him within 90mins of calling. Nothing was too much trouble and I never felt he was rushing through his time with me to skip on to the next patient. Overall he made a worrying experience a less of a concern and the confidence I was definitely in the right hands. I would recommend without hesitation

I found Mr Hextall by looking at the Spire website. From initial contact I was very impressed with the service. His secretary was extremely pleasant and helpful. At my first appointment with Mr Hextall I found him to be very pleasant indeed. I find talking about gynaecology issues embarrassing but I found him very easy to talk to and he listened to what I had to say. He explained my options with clear information. I was able to make an informed choice. On the day of my procedure he was once again very clear and informative and gave me an opportunity to speak and ask questions, something that I have not always experienced with other consultants or GPs. I immediately had confidence in him. He visited me shortly after the procedure and again fully explained what had been achieved. I visited Mr Hextall at an out patient appointment where he talked me through my operation and we discussed matters generally. At all times I found him to be very clear and informative. He listened to what I had to say and seemed to take an interest. I hope I do not have to have another procedure in the future but if I do I would almost certainly see Mr Hextall again. Both he and his secretary were a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend him. Caroline Selley.

I had a operation under Mr Hextall he was very understanding and very caring explained everything clearly he is an excellent surgeon and a credit to his profession I am slowly recovering and feel better as everyday goes by I would like to say a very thank you for all his support and kindness
