Serious Concerns About Radiology team and Accountability - My experience with the radiology department was extremely disappointing. Scan results provided by the radiologist were misleading and confirmed by radiology manager, leading to the scans being sent to another hospital for quality checking, which is very concerning. The subsequent handling by the risk management team showed poor accountability and a lack of clear ownership of the error. To make matters worse, the response was an offer of discounted services rather than a meaningful resolution. This experience has significantly undermined my confidence in the department and I would not return for any other services.

Put me at ease as soon as I walked in to see him. Explained everything and really knowledgeable, realistic and reassuring. I could not have picked anyone better.

The One Hatfield hospital is a modern facility, that is well equipped and very clean. The staff in all departments are engaging, efficient and very friendly. Everything from the preparation before surgery, to the care during your stay and the after care is first class. I would strongly recommend this hospital to anybody.

Faultless Team , just wonderful from the moment I set foot in there for my assessment to my now post op physio and treatment .
Made to feel properly looked after from medical / physio staff to my welfare care in regards to food/drink just totally great all round

The medical care I received at this hospital for my knee replacement was excellent The surgeon did a good job, the ongoing physiotherapy I am receiving is excellent, the nurses were kind and the receptionist is very good remembers who I am when I come.
However some aspects of organisation are lacking
My operation had to be postponed by 5 days due to what I consider to be a major failure in organisation. I was taken to the theatre and was about to receive the anaesthetic when I was told that a piece of cleaning equipment had not been delivered and it was not safe for the operation to proceed. I was taken back to the ward and then half an hour later told the operation could not take place that day. That was very distressing as I live alone and had to make special arrangements to be cared for after the op which had to be rearranged. I consider this unacceptable.
I also found the online preop assessment questionnaire was badly designed. I filled it in but it did not save properly because I had not answered one question and did not warn me at the top of the page that this was the case so I did not realise. All the data was lost and I had to fill it all in again the day before my appointment when I was informed the data was missing. Also on the day after the op blood was taken for blood tests but the samples were not sent off that day so I did not get the results before discharge. Fortunately the clinical team decided I was low risk and discharged me anyway.

Reception excellent and Eco cardiogram investigation and 48 hour heart monitoring first class.
Most disappointed and surprised I was not able to have the CT scan on my head undertaken at One Hatfield.

Dr recica is one in a million. I am always and forever grateful to have met this wonderful doctor. I have had skin cancer, melanomas since for 12 years with an extemely complex history. No matter what my skin is worry it is a guarantee dr recica will get back to me and reassure me or act immediately. If I could give him a 6 star I would. He continues to give amazing treatment and is quite literally at the other end of the line when a concern arises.
