Mr Hextall carried out my surgery which was successful,
I saw him a few times after my operation as I was experiencing a couple of issues, he was kind and caring, very easy to speak to.
He offered solutions which sorted everything out for me, of which I am very appreciative and grateful for.
So I would have no hesitation in recommending him as a surgeon and a very kind caring person.
I’m very grateful to Mr. Andrew Hexstall and his wonderful team. I had complete trust in Mr. Hexstall — he is exceptionally competent, with a kind and gentle manner that immediately puts you at ease. He takes the time to listen to any concerns, never rushes, and is always patient, even when I’ve asked lots of questions (often more than once!). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
I had total confidence in Mr. Hextall's care and ability to treat my condition right from the outset. He did a vaginal prolapse repair and a hysterectomy and there were no complications from the operation which meant that I could go home the following day. He has a kind gentle manner which puts you at your ease and listens to any concerns you may have, without rushing you. I have no hesitation in recommending him to others
Mr Hextall treated me for a vaginal hysterectomy and anterior and posterior repair.
I consulted Mr Hextall initially many years ago when I was experiencing prolapse symptoms. Several of my friends had spoken highly of him and I was aware of his surgical excellence.
I found him to be kind, empathetic, patient, professional and easy to talk to about such a sensitive, embarrassing (to me) subject.
Initially I went down the route of working on my pelvic floor exercises. I was anxious about surgery as this operation is classed as a major one and my mother had had a bad surgery experience in a different part of the country.
Eventually I became tired of putting up with uncomfortable prolapse symptoms.
I went back to Mr Hextall, he gave me all the information about surgery I needed, and genuinely made me feel reassured and supported.
I finally made the to decision to have surgery and it all went well. I am so glad I have taken action for my long term health and fitness.
I was extremely well cared for in hospital, I felt safe and cannot thank Mr Hextall enough for looking after me. After the operation he made the time to visit me twice on the ward.
Thanks also to his lovely secretary Jane who patiently responded to my emails.
I would absolutely highly recommend Mr Hextall to anyone who needs to see a gynaecologist.
Mr Hextall saw me initially at St Albans hospital and then at Spire Harpenden as I could not wait on the local hospital NHS list any longer having already waited six months for an initial appointment. I knew the situation as was deteriorating and Mr Hextall was very understanding as my husband has Parkinson’s and I need to assist him on a daily basis with support and care. The operation was for a vaginal repair with sacrospinous fixation. He explained carefully and precisely what was involved and put me at ease from the outset. The operation was very successful and both written and verbal communication was exceptional.
