Dr Anshuman Malaviya

I very rarely write reviews, but I was so impressed with Dr Malaviya, I wanted to share my experience, so others might benefit from consulting him. He's an incredible doctor. His knowledge is exceptional. His understanding is first rate. And his kindness, patience and genuine interest is something I've never experienced with a physician before. I consulted him with my son, and he immediately put us both at ease. He was very well informed of why we were there - he had taken the time to read all the information we'd provided before the consultation. And after speaking to my son at length, he came up with a plan to tackle the problem head on. It really was the best experience I've had with a doctor.

Dr Malaviya is a committed practitioner & expert in his field & in my experience cares greatly for his patients. He completes a remarkable level of care within difficult NHS parameters, such as costs & time available. The quality of care within these constraints is exceptional in my humble opinion. I am extremely lucky to have him undertaking my ongoing long term medical condition needs.

I can not rate Dr Malaviya highly enough. He actually listens! He treats his patients with dignity and respect and does actually have genuine concern about their care and wellbeing. If all Dr’s could demonstrate the care in their practice that Dr Malaviya does the healthcare system would not see a fraction of the problems. If you are concerned or hesitant- do not wait go and see Dr Malaviya, I guarantee it will be the best thing you will ever do! You will be pleased and relieved once you have been to see him!

Dr Malaviya is truly one of the best doctors I have seen. I always leave the appointment feeling heard and that my complex health issues are being considered holistically. He takes the time to listen and fully explain his diagnosis and treatment decisions, as well as advocating for patients under different specialists to get them the best care. He is deeply aware of the issues that young, AFAB patients face of being misdiagnosed with disorders like fibromyalgia when there is actually an inflammatory disorder going on. It is a shame that the NHS is so underfunded/overworked that he can't help more patients.

This doctor helped me when others said there was nothing else they could do, I was bed bound and he has never given up trying to find ways to help me. I am 45 years old and for the first time in my adult life I now actually have a life, I am pain free for 95% of the time between treatments. So many doctors gave up and told me to accept not having a life and kept feeding excessive pain relief, this doctor looked at the bigger picture and for the first time in 25 years I’m not living everyday doped up to the eyeballs in codeine and morphine. He literally saved my life in so many ways I will never be able to repay him

Mr Malaviya is a remarkable Rheumatologist. He is compassionate, caring, kind and patient. I felt heard and understood by Mr Malaviya and my long standing pain and concerns were validated by him. I would highly recommend seeing Mr Malaviya if you need a consultant that is thorough, diligent and dynamic to your health concerns. For the first time in 9 years I have felt hope for a better future with my health thanks to Mr Malaviya. I am incredibly grateful to Mr Malaviya for his support and kindness, he is an impeccable Doctor and a credit to the NHS.

Very impressed and happy. finally someone has pulled all the history together. For over 20 years it has been one thing after another and was told on more than one occasion that sometimes there are no answers. Well Dr Anshuman Malaviya has restored my faith in the medical profession and I finally have hope that I can get on top of this and start living again. I really appreciate your caring and understanding and will be forever grateful.

I have known Dr Malaviya for many years. He is my favourite doctor in the department with his excellent communication skills and caring nature. He is always empathetic and listens to my concerns. Compared to many other hospital doctors, he has an excellent knowledge of my condition. His use of evidence based research helps me understand my symptoms and what the most drugs will be most effective. I wish that I could clone him as he is the best doctor ever!

Dr Malavyia is the most caring and wonderful doctor, he truly listens to you and wants to help. I honestly couldn’t say enough good things. He’s willing to try anything to help me as a patient, is very easy to talk to and explains everything exceptionally well. I’ve been his patient for many years now and I know he won’t rest until he gets my quality of life as good as possible, no matter what it takes. Honestly there is no possible way to make constructive suggestions as he is I’ve of the best doctors and health professionals I have come across, which given my health issues I’ve seen a lot! Dr Malaviya has shown nothing but kindness and care throughout the last 6 years i’ve been under his care. His rounded, open minded and diverse view has made a tremendous difference to difficult times, never giving the impression of ‘giving up’ just because I was never a ‘text book case’ and really wanting to help and validate my symptoms. I feel Dr Malaviya’s trusted approach of care, makes people feel safe, looked after and in good hands, this has such a profound affect on how people deal mentally with such all consuming physical disease or symptoms. But knowing you have an incredible doctor on side, makes all the difference to putting in the effort, and wanting to get better, as he always encourages brighter things are coming and you always feel safe. The effort for doctors, especially during such pressure that the nhs is under, is just incredible, and makes such a difference to people’s lives. I will forever be grateful for Dr Malaviya, and it make’s difficult days easier knowing i’m being looked after by the best!
