I saw Dr Clunie privately as couldn’t wait any longer on NHS. Wish I’d seen him years ago - he got tests for me sorted and diagnosed psoriatic arthritis issues which have caused me years of pain and anxiety which GP consistently brushed off. Life changing isn’t too strong to describe it. Finally on anti inflammatory medication and have life back. Never ever felt so well. Would highly recommend.
I had confidence in Dr Clunie’s expertise. He gave a clear explanation of the treatment options available to me, and which of them would be the best in my particular case and why. However, I did feel that more consideration could have been shown to the impact that learning that I have this condition has had on my mental wellbeing.
I saw Dr Clunie in 2021 following many years of health issues. Unfortunately I had been misdiagnosed with CFS by the NHS, and had struggled to access good care within the NHS system. Dr Clunie carried out appropriate tests and expertly diagnosed me with spondyloarthritis. He was very attentive and listened carefully to my symptoms, and was at no point dismissive, which many doctors in the past have been. His diagnosis and subsequent treatment plan has been truly life-changing for me - since starting on the medication he suggested, I have been able to resume all my previous activities and return to my old life. Since then, I have contacted Dr Clunie on several occasions for advice and letters of support/medical evidence. He has always been very swift to respond and very helpful in these matters.
I saw Dr Clunie with symptoms of possible fibromyalgia, he was right to suggest further tests as they turned out to be side effects of stage 3 bowel cancer. I am so thankful that he listened and didn't assume it was just fibromyalgia, he wanted to discount other possible causes first.
Dr Clunie has greatly improved my quality of life. I wish that I had seen him many years ago. He diagnosed very quickly my condition, and then explained and discussed the possible treatment options in a personalised and considerate way. His whole approach is empathetic, caring and professional. I have confidence in him and I know that my care is in very good hands.
