I am extremely impressed with the results of my surgery with Professor Chatrath. Throughout the process, Prof. Chatrath was very knowledgeable and informative. He was very kind and thorough, and took the time to reassure any questions or worries I had before the procedure. For context: In November 2022, I had a septoplasty and rhinoplasty performed by Professor Chatrath and I am absolutely amazed at the results. My breathing is so much better now and I absolutely love the shape of my nose now! At first, I was nervous to have the surgery as I have Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Syndrome and more chronic illnesses. However, I am so glad I did as it completely changed my life. I chose to see Prof. Chatrath privately after I was told by multiple NHS surgeons that my deviated septum was ‘not that bad’ and doesn’t require surgery, I was so lucky to finally have an outstanding surgeon who actually listened to my problems and agreed the surgery may help. Prof. Chatrath was very patient and thorough, he listened to all of my issues before talking through my options. After my surgery, Prof. Chatrath explained my septum was actually extremely deviated which was causing me to have issues breathing. I would highly recommend as I am so pleased with my results and the whole process!

I went to Professor Chatrath after I had experienced years of problems with my nose since I broke it in 2009, including my bodies overreaction to any powerful smell (hay fever and smoke) which made me spend summers in uncontrollable tears. I found that I was listened to, I had a full and through examination and a plan was put in place to try and resolve my symptoms, without the need for surgery in the first instance. The symptoms didn’t fully go, so in January 2023 I had a Septoplasty with clarifix. I felt Professor Chatrath took great care in explaining the surgery, and the recovery process and was very mindful of my recovery due to my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I came out of the surgery, and you could not tell I had any procedure done, using glue in my nasal cavity rather than splints made it a much better recovery and easier to manage my daily cleaning routine. I had two follow up visits post surgery due to my slow healing (from EDS) and each time I was examined with great care and was able to be reassured that my nose was healing in the right direction. I am now 7 months post operation and I can breathe so much better when exercising and the clarifix has reduced my overreaction to the outside factors and this is the first year I have not had to take antihistamines every day of the summer. It has completely changed my life and I am so grateful. Thank you.

Title: A Life-Changing Experience with Professor Paul Chatrath Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) My journey to find a cure for my nasal breathing difficulties was long and arduous, spanning 15 grueling years and involving multiple unsuccessful surgeries. After countless visits to various specialists and two failed attempts at septoplasty, rhinoplasty, and turbine reduction, my hopes were dwindling, and my discomfort was escalating. The surgeries did not only fail to ameliorate my symptoms but seemed to exacerbate my breathing problems, casting a shadow of despair and frustration over my life. That was until I met Professor Paul Chatrath, an expert ENT specialist whose knowledge, professionalism, and proficiency utterly transformed my life. From the outset, Professor Chatrath differentiated himself with his empathetic approach and in-depth understanding of nasal problems. While previous doctors had been unable to diagnose my issue, he pinpointed the root cause with remarkable precision - an internal nasal valve collapse. This condition, often overlooked, was the culprit behind my years of distress and hardship, an invisible wall obstructing my airways. Professor Chatrath, staying at the forefront of medical developments in the UK, suggested the use of LATERA nasal implant and Internasal Z-plasty. This procedure was a far cry from the invasive and perilous surgeries I had previously undergone and held the risk of Empty Nose Syndrome. These non-invasive, state-of-the-art treatments represented a beacon of hope and a promise of a life unburdened by constant breathing difficulties. The surgeries were executed seamlessly, and recovery time was astonishingly brief. Thanks to Professor Chatrath's skill and the innovative LATERA technique, my years of struggling to breathe have finally come to an end. I am now able to take in deep, satisfying breaths through my nose, something that I had almost forgotten was possible. In retrospect, I wish I had found Professor Chatrath 15 years ago. His expertise and up-to-date knowledge could have saved me from the pain and complications of the previous surgeries. But I am forever grateful for finally discovering him and for his life-altering help. He is not just an exceptional medical professional, but also a compassionate human being who genuinely cares about his patients' well-being. To anyone struggling with persistent nasal issues, I cannot recommend Professor Paul Chatrath highly enough. His deep understanding, innovative solutions, and patient-centric approach make him an extraordinary ENT specialist and a true savior for patients like myself. Thanks to him, I am finally breathing easy.

I had a septorhinoplasty with Prof. Chatrath in October 2022 and I couldn’t be happier. From start to finish Prof Chatrath made sure I was comfortable and ensured I was making the correct decision. He guided me in the right direction and didn’t give me any unrealistic expectations. He listened carefully to everything I had to say and put any worries I had to rest. I am now 9 months post op and my nose is exactly how I wanted it to be. My nose was my biggest insecurity and at the age of 17 it was a big decision to get it done. It has truly changed my life. It has changed the way I look at myself, rather than looking in the mirror and just seeing my nose, I now see my face. I see the whole of me rather than one particular part that I fixated on. I don’t obsess over my nose anymore, I used to hate people looking at me from my side profile and now it doesn’t even cross my mind. My nose that professor chatrath has given me is truly amazing. The whole process has been a breeze, the day of surgery I was really looked after by P. Chatrath, the anaesthetist and the whole team at Nuffield hospital. I had my operation in the morning and by the evening I was good to go home. I had paracetamol and ibuprofen to help with the pain. It was more uncomfortable than anything else, it didn’t hurt but I did feel a lot of pressure on my nose. This lasted for a few days and then got better with each day. My bruising was very minimal around my eyes. And the stitches took just over two weeks to dissolve. My cast came off after a week, the feeing you get when it comes off is indescribable. I couldn’t believe that it was me, it was everything I had in mind but better. It instantly gave me such a confidence boost even if I did have swelling and stitches! The swelling takes a good 3 months to go down noticeably, then after another 3 months it goes down a lot more. I taped my nose every night for a good 6 months. It now is only swollen slightly at the tip. That can take over a year to completely go. I am extremely happy with my nose and SO grateful that I was able to have such a positive experience all thanks to professor Chatrath. Also thank you to the anaesthesiologist who really helped calm any nerves I had. Lastly thank you to the team at Nuffield health, Brentwood. I couldn’t be happier with my results, you have truly made such a positive impact on my life.

Dr. Chatrath was great to deal with and was clear and open every step of the way. He helped me understand my procedure clearly, the risks and the benefits and was very easy to communicate with. Very happy with the care received throughout
