I had surgery following a bad break in my shoulder, the humoral head. After about 18 months it started to ache so I went back to Mr Patel, who advised me that I had osteo necrosis in the bone. I went back for surgery to "sort me out" and he did a brilliant job. I have every faith in Mr V Patel, he has looked after me so well, I can't think how he could make it any better for me.

I suffered a fractured olecranon process of my left elbow just before Christmas 2015. I was very fortunate in finding Mr. Patel who treated trauma patients at St. Anthony's hospital and was seen within 2 days and operated on within the week. I was treated with the utmost kindness and professionalism and given all the appropriate information needed. I was discharged the day following surgery and was able to drive my car again within three weeks. I would thoroughly recommend Mr. Patel. I had extensive bruising due to the injury but I believe that the treatment I had and encouragement to use the arm within a careful framework, has meant that I have now full use of my left arm within three months.

An accident caused multiple fractures to the humeral head of my shoulder. I had the good fortune to have Mr Patel undertake a Shoulder Hemiarthroplasty. Now after just 4 months I have regained considerable use of my arm and anticipate continued improvement assisted by physiotherapy. From my experience I am extremely grateful to Mr Patel and can vouch for his exemplary reputation which is thoroughly deserved. Many thanks to Mr Patel, I am most grateful for your expertise. A M Campbell (Mrs)

I damaged my shoulder, in July last year, and was told by the sports physio., following an MRI scan, that I had a full thickness tear of the supraspinatus tendon. My GP was not very encouraging, and suggested that the repair may not be successful. I asked to be referred to Mr Patel. Right from the start he was very positive, and explained that the operation might not be 100% but if I worked hard he could see no reason why I could not go swimming and cycling etc. In August I had an arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. I was not allowed to move my shoulder for 6 weeks and then the work began! Now 6 months on I am swimming most mornings, cycling, playing table Tennis, in fact everything I was doing before the injury. I cannot thank Mr Patel and his team, enough. The aftercare was fantastic.
