I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in November 2014 and I was very lucky to then put under the care of Doctor Hawkins. I was shown total compassion and care and given the reassurance I needed during this difficult time. I had total confidence in his advice and guidance, as well as being aware that my treatment was under my control and Dr Hawkins would assist in this. Through out my treatment I had the best care from the entire breast cancer unit at Great Western Hospital.
I cannot thank Dr Hawkins enough for his professional care and being a big part in helping me survive this cancer. I would like to reassure any one who has to go through this very emotional and scary journey that should you be under the care of Doctor Hawkins, you will be with one of the very best surgeons and breast cancer doctors.

I saw Mr Hawkins in June 2014 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. He and his team treated me with kindness and great empathy and explained very carefully the implications of my diagnosis and the treatment options.
Mr Hawkins performed breast surgery in July 2014 and lymph node clearance in December 2014. My husband has always accompanied me each time I have had an appointment with Mr Hawkins. We have never felt rushed and he has always taken time for questions from both of us, which has been much appreciated.
It is devastating to get such a diagnosis, but Mr Hawkins kindness and attention made life a lot easier to manage.
I have had ongoing treatment with chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and will undergo surgery again with Mr Hawkins to give me some symmetry.
I am going forward with great confidence and would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Hawkins and his team. He really is a lovely man.
