Mathew Potter performed my breast augmentation surgery at The Nuffield Hospital Cheltenham 2018. I knew straight away at my first consultation there, Matt was the right surgeon for me. He’s very professional, explained everything clearly and carefully and answered all of my questions. This made me feel relaxed and gave me reassurance I’d be in safe hands for my operation. The surgery went well, I was very happy with my new breasts. Matt came to see how I was doing after the operation and again the following morning while I was still in hospital. I had all my follow up appointments with him at The Ridgeway hospital Wroughton, and have been extremely happy with all of my after care treatment, and the advice given to me on how to care for my implants etc. What really stood out for me about Matt is how he always put my safety and well being first throughout everything; from pre-op consultations, surgery, and all aftercare/follow up appointments. I would highly recommend Matt Potter to anyone considering a breast augmentation or other plastic surgeries. I would definitely go back to him if I ever decided to have any more plastic surgery/procedures in the future.

I have been unhappy with my upper eyelids for a number of years, the loose skin was affecting my vision and made me feel unhappy when I looked in the mirror. But I was to nervous to do anything about it. From the first consultation I knew Matthew Potter, was going to change this. He made me feel completely at ease, listened to me and talked through the procedure in great detail. On the day of surgery I was a bit nervous, but he came to see me, went through the procedure again and made me very relaxed. The time in surgery was great, we had music on, the staff were excellent and sat by me the whole time. There was a relaxed atmosphere with banter. He let me know what he was doing at every stage. Surgery was painless and when I returned to my room I could see the results immediately. The bruising and healing all took time, but I was back to normal very quickly, with my new eyes. I am so happy this has really changed my life. Follow up appointments have been good, any questions answered and reassurance that everything is healing well. I would certainly recommend Matthew Potter for upper blepharoplasty surgery.

I met Matthew Potter in 2024 when I first enquired about abdominoplasty. I had the operation booked in for March 2025. I unfortunately became unwell the week of the operation but Mr Potter very kindly just rescheduled for the next available date without any fuss. He explained everything very clearly and I am four weeks into my recovery now and couldn’t be happier with the results. I had very little post op pain and the scar is neat and healing well. I had the operation at the Ridgeway hospital and cannot praise them highly enough. Mr Potter and all the staff at the hospital looked after me exceptionally well and it was a pleasure to stay there. The nurses are all kind and gentle and the food is amazing. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Potter and the Ridgeway hospital, they were both fantastic.

Mr Potter is, of course, a highly skilled surgeon, but is also kind, patient and considerate. I am completely satisfied with the result of the bilateral upper blepharoplasty he performed for me. My eye muscles were getting very tired from holding up a lot of excess skin which was drooping down over the eyelids and pushing my eyelashes down; the surgery has resolved this and my eyes feel so much better. As a bonus, I am now able to wear mascara again - this had been impossible for several years prior to the surgery - and I look less tired. Six months on from the surgery, the scars are not visible. I would recommend Mr Potter, and the entire team who were involved in my care, to anyone considering upper blepharoplasty.

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with a basal cell carcinoma hidden beneath my hair. Unfortunately, it had gone undetected for some time and had grown significantly. As a 42-year-old woman, I found the proposed treatment options, none of which offered a particularly positive aesthetic outcome, difficult to come to terms with. But fate had other plans. I ultimately chose MOHS surgery, and my surgeon, William, quickly arranged a meeting with Matt, who was already next door waiting to meet me. I had no idea I’d be facing such an intensive procedure, a scalp rotation accompanied by a full-thickness skin graft. From the very beginning, Matt's calm presence and reassuring positivity made everything feel more manageable. He was there to take me straight to theatre after the MOHS surgery, and there again when I woke up. His consistent presence, even visiting first thing in the morning, made all the difference. Just eight weeks later, I found myself climbing a mountain. Ten weeks after surgery, I was confidently delivering a talk in front of 200 colleagues. Since then, I’ve undergone five more procedures for graft removal under local anaesthetic, each one smooth and uneventful. My blood pressure doesn’t even flinch! That resilience is thanks to Matt and his incredible team. Their calm, friendly, and confident approach made what seemed overwhelming feel entirely possible.

My operation was to reduce the substantial overhang of my upper eyelids at the sides of my eyes. Pre operation Mr. Potter explained the procedure I requested in detail, showed me photographs of previous patients and clearly explained the operation itself, post operative care and the risks involved. The only slight discomfort during the operation was the administration of local anaesthetic after which it was an almost pleasant experience. I had no post-operative pain at all and the bruising started to clear after only a few days. I had elected for the operation because my field of vision to both sides was restricted by the overhang of my upper eyelids. I now have a substantially improved field of vision and there is no obvious sign that I've had anything done. Would highly recommend both Mr. Potter and the procedure to anyone with a similar problem.

I couldn’t be happier with the treatment I received from Matthew Potter and his great team. I had enough appointments before my surgery to discuss what was going to happen, what I could expect from my facelift surgery, and it gave me ample chance to ask all the questions and concerns I had, while getting across what I wanted to achieve. When it came to the surgery day I couldn’t have felt more calm, from checking in, to how I was looked after from start to finish was faultless, my pain was manageable and I was so pleased with the results, it’s way better than I could ever have expected and I’m enjoying compliments from friends and family that have no idea I’ve had anything done, which for me is a sign of a job well done. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Matthew to anyone, he is so down to earth and meticulous in doing not only a fantastic job, but what I asked for, the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m now happy to be in photographs, something I’ve avoided my whole life due to my double chin, which turned into a turkey neck as I got older.

I went to Mr Mathew Potter concerning my ageing neck and jowls. He came across as very kind and understanding to all of my concerns. It was agreed a lower face lift would be the best course of action and everything was explained in great detail about the procedure and what results I could expect. I had a few consultations before the surgery to check I was happy with everything before going ahead with it. On the day of the surgery I was a little nervous but I was made to feel reassured with everything that was going to happen. The care I received from Mr Potter and all the staff at the Nuffield Manor Hospital was truly outstanding. The surgery went really well and I am very pleased with the results better than I expected. The aftercare I received has been wonderful. Mr Mathew Potter is a lovely kind and knowledgeable surgeon. I won’t hesitate to go to him again if I need any surgeries in the future. Thank again. Mrs C Milton.

After my final appointment with Mr Potter last week, I just wanted to send an email of thanks. It isn’t my first procedure with Mr Potter and I’m sure it wont be my last. I’ve had both a labiaplasty and pinnerplasty under him. At every stage throughout I’m constantly in awe of how he conducts himself. Not only is he so knowledgeable, he’s so relatable with it, which is few and far between with many surgeons. Mr Potter is able to build a great rapport throughout every appointment and this continued into surgery. My surgery was under local, and I was amazed to see how he conducts himself during surgery, not only with me as a patient but also with his theatre staff. It was a true testimony to who he is that I felt no hierarchy throughout the surgery, Mr Potter respected each and everyone of his staff in that theatre room and although colleagues, it felt like they were friends, too. Although a fantastic surgeon, and a wealth of knowledge, Mr Potter has stayed humble and this is such a fantastic attribute to have. Thank you so much for the great results Mr Potter. All the best to you and your lovely family. Amy

I was referred to Mr Potter following excision of a BCC on my scalp, as cancerous cells were still present at the margins, and this required further surgery. At the time, I was concerned I would experience significant hair loss because of further surgery. However, I was quickly put at ease by Mr Potter’s warm and friendly manner and advice that the skin graft would be of a certain size, and that he would be able to reduce the area of hair loss through subsequent procedures. I underwent a skin graft and four following procedures to reduce the area of hair loss. Mr Potter is an excellent surgeon, and I am very happy with the results. Throughout this process, appointments were arranged swiftly, and all queries and concerns that I had were quickly responded to. Now, I have no hair loss, and there is no visible sign of a scar. I would highly recommend Mr Potter.
