Suffered with knee pain for 7 months - got so severe I was referred to Mr Trikha who diagnosed me correctly even before the MRI confirmed it As soon as I wok up from the operation I could feel the immense difference - all the pain had gone. I only had keyhole but the movement etc was straight there. only needed one physio session to confirm everything was back to normal

I originally started my treatment back in 2016 when I had my first ACL reconstruction. I had quite a few appointments at st Peter's and Ashford hospital whilst they were trying to figure out what I had damaged and the best route to take. Eventually I had the reconstruction surgery done on the 1st December 2016. All went well in the surgery, performed by (Mr Elliot). Straight after I started the healing process but unfortunately somewhere down the road I realised that my leg felt incredibly weak and I didn't feel 100% secure. It was then I found out that whilst the surgery was successful, the ACL was in fact Lax and not fully functional and was advised that I would need a revision surgery. I eventually saved up the funds to have my revision surgery and decided to go to the Nuffield hospital in Woking, I immediately asked for Mr Trikha as he had helped me a great deal the first time around but unfortunately was unavailable to do my surgery. I saw him for my first consultation and immediately he found the problem and discussed with me my options that would help me get the best results. Right away he put me at ease as I wasn't looking forward to having surgery again as I do get anxious from time to time. Mr Trikha explained that the best route would be a revision surgery using part of my hamstring from my right leg to make a new graft then to do a extra-articular lateral Tenodesis which is to tighten the muscle and restore pivotal control to the knee. With all this knowledge I went home happy and had booked the date for my surgery. I returned to Nuffield hospital on the 18th and was checked into my private room and was treated amazingly but all staff and nurses. You get regular visits throughout the day from the nurses and the team to ask you some safety/health care questions. After I short period of time Mr Trikha came to visit me and marked me up ready for surgery and checked to see if I was ok and if I was ready. At 16:00 I was escorted downstairs to be made ready for surgery. Good news, my surgery went perfectly. I was given time to come round then escorted back into my room. I was given time to wake up properly and then I was provided with some dinner and regular check ups from the nurses. After a good nights rest I was visited again by Mr Trikha to check to see how I was. I was allowed to go home the following day. 6 weeks later, I have had 2 check ups from Mr Trikha and I can honestly say now the work he has done is absolutely amazing. Never have I felt such comfort whilst in hospital and my Leg has never felt better or more stable since the accident, I honestly believe the extra work that Mr Trikha performed (extra-articular lateral Tenodesis) has helped tremendously. I do honestly feel that having the revision surgery was the right choice and the best choice I have ever made. My knee feels stronger and I actually feel that after weeks of physio I will be able to return to my regular life. I honestly can't thank Mr Trikha enough, he has honestly done fantastic work and he has helped me have hope again for my future.

Mr Trikha has been absolutely amazing! He performed an arthroscopy on my knee and from the moment I came around from the anaesthetic I could feel he had fixed the pain and I was fully mobile again. In short he is awesome in his field and totally given me my life back. I can not thank him enough!!! He is awesome!!

Mr Trikha explained all the options to me to help with my Knee Pain - started with cortisone injection - which he had a great bedside manner for administering :) Finally ended up having arthroscopic surgery and immediately felt the benefits. Mr Trikha has always followed up with my progress and I really feel he is looking for the best result for me

After a turn a twist whilst playing Rugby in 2015 I unfortunately ruptured my ACL. It was repaired at the time by an another surgeon and was never quite right even after extensive rehabilitation. As a Physiotherapist of whom works in sport I have taken many patients through their recovery and unfortunately was not experiencing anything near to the same outcome myself. I had met Mr Trikha several times both professionally and as a patient. When we concluded that I needed a revision surgery I was happy to proceed knowing many of his patients first hand had successful outcomes. On a professional basis I also had the utmost confidence he is top of his game and would work hard to rectify the knee. Immediately postoperatively the knee had excellent range, minimal swelling and overall felt much stronger and congruent. My recovery has always been well ahead of the recovery timeline and running now at 5 months feels stronger and more comfortable than it has in years! Mr Trikha is prompt, concise and instills the greatest confidence and has the stats to back it. If your having an ACL he's the man!
