I consulted Mr Parkar for the first time on February 8th concerning my damaged knee. He made me feel at ease and his explanation of my condition and the way forward was delivered with comprehensive clarity. My knee is too damaged to repair, so Mr Parkar has recommended a replacement knee. Mr Parkar has given me the confidence to go forward.

Mr Parkar operated on my right knee for a total replacement at 4pm on the 6th December everything went well and on time, in fact I went home within two days. I am now 8 weeks in and everything has gone smoothly with me even playing a few holes of pitch and putt. I am now signed off without any complications. I would thoroughly recommend him for this surgery.

My experience of care by this doctor has been excellent before, during and after my total knee replacement at Hartswood hospital. Mr Parkar gave clear, honest and detailed information and was happy to answer my questions as fully as he could. I am delighted with the outcome of my operation which has made a huge positive difference to my mobility. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Parkar to future patients

I had my left knee replacement surgery at Spire Hartswood, Brentwood. Mr Asif Parkar was my surgeon and he saw me for a consultation before the operation and was very kind and patient in answering my questions. I was very nervous about having the procedure and he was very reassuring and informative about what to expect. The clinic team and nurses, especially Sifiso and Natasha , looked after me extremely well during my time in hospital. My anaesthetist, Dr Paul Bala was particularly kind and reassuring, very professional and had a warm sense of humour. The surgery has helped me considerably as I can now walk without pain in my left knee and I am grateful to Mr Parkar for being so skilled at what he does. I now look forward to him carrying out a right knee replacement for me and I can recommend him to other people.

Mr Parkar takes his time with you, he tried other avenues before having to require surgery. He is very informative, answers all questions you ask during each visit. He sets your mind at ease before surgery and explains everything again and leaves time for questions. He comes to visit after the surgery and answers more questions which you may have. One constructive suggestion, i feel he could mention before surgery that i was not aware of until after surgery was how the nerves get damaged and can cause numbness and pain.
