Very first consultation I had trust in him as the way he handled my case. Very sympathetic and had all know how. Talking to him made me feel secure. My operation went well and had no issues. I also asked him to do my other and I am waiting. He is truly a great doctor and consultant. I was safe in his hands.I recovered with no issue and very soon. Thank you for caring for me. Mr Shankar (and team) provided care for me with respect to two knee replacements approximately 18 months apart - one a total and the other a partial. I saw Mr Shankar on several occasions and he was ready to listen to my concerns as well as offer preliminary advice for knee strengthening to help prior to the point knee surgery was ulitmately advised. On the day of surgery for the partial knee replacement I met members of the surgical team prior to theatre and Mr Shankar operated and saw me post surgery. Within 2 hours I was able to move (under pain relief) and do basic physio exercises. Subsequent follow ups with Mr Shankar albeit brief were reassuring that surgery was successful with good post op progress. I found him to be a kind and considerate consultant and efficient in his patient interactions with me.

I have nothing but praise for Mr Shakar and his COPE nursing team. I have had 2 partial knee replacements ,on each occasion Mr Shankar has shown great care and professionalism. I had a minor complication after the second procedure but Mr Shankar along with the COPE team have closely monitored my progress. Thanks to Mr Shankar I am now able to walk without pain so have a new lease of life. I would not hesitate to recommend him. Chris Linnell

I have just had a total knee replacement of my right knee. From the initial consultation through to the two week follow up I was impressed with the way Mr Shankar dealt with me as a patient. He was very straight forward in terms of explaining what needed to be done and why while at the same time listening to my concerns. I have no hesitation in going forward with the left total knee replacement which will be undertaken by Mr Shankar in approximately six months time.

I recently had a hip replacement surgery performed by Mr Shankar. I can't express enough gratitude for his skill, professionalism and compassion throughout the process. My surgery went smoothly and the results soon after the operation exceeded my expectations. I am beyond grateful for his expertise and would not hesitate to recommend him.
