I came to Dr Parkar with after injuring my knee during football. He was diligent when examining my knee and once the MRI results confirmed an ACL rupture, he sat with me and discussed my options. After I decided to go ahead with the surgery, he explained all the risks as well as the benefits but reassured me the surgery would help me play football again. Dr Parkar advised me of the benefits the ‘Macintosh’ procedure would have on my knee. I then agreed to do this whilst having the ‘all inside ACL reconstruction’ done too. The surgery itself went very well and only after a few weeks I was able to walk comfortably without crutches. My leg is now strong enough to go through more rigorous physio exercises. Overall I am very happy with the recovery and the whole experience with Dr Parkar. A final shoutout to Sarah (his secretary) too who was always contactable and helped with arranging appointments etc Thank you!

I had a ACL, posterolateral corner reconstruction & meniscal repair. Dr Parkar was patient, clear and reassuring when assessing and working with me. I felt that he went above and beyond in caring for me ensuring that I would be better as a result of the operation. Anything that I was unsure of Dr Parkar was thorough in explaining. My surgery lasted longer than it should have but it was reassuring to know it was not due to complication but because Dr Parkar had a high level of care and excellence to make sure that surgery would be as successful as possible. From what I understand the best equipment was used. We had the understanding that my plan was to return back to playing sports as rigorously as possible, that approached helped me know that Dr Parkar would do the best for me. All in all I was very happy with the care that I received from Dr Parkar and would recommend him wholeheartedly.

Dr A Parkar was very honest in his initial diagnosis, assessment and treatment of my Knee problems. There was no pressure on me to even carry out a procedure. In the end Dr A Parkar carried out a knee Arthroscopy on my right knee. Partial Medial Menisectomy. Surgery was carried out at 9am and i left the hospital after various checks by the staff at 3pm. I was able to walk the same day after surgery. After strength and mobility training was able to resume my work as a PE Teacher after 3 weeks. Physiotherapy is on going but I'm incredibly pleased and grateful for where I am now. The pain has almost completely subsided.

I felt very reassured by Mr Parkars' pre-op and post -op consultations and the knee arthroscopy procedure carried out so that I was able to walk without the pain I was experiencing beforehand. His explanations by use of diagrams pictures and models helped me to thoroughly understand the cause of my problem and the treatment options I had. Also in my case explanations of the long term issues I may experience due to the presence of osteoarthritis found and how to manage it. I thoroughly recommend Mr Parker to anyone requiring knee treatment.
