Following the diagnosis of breast cancer - I cannot thank Simon Smith and his team enough for the treatment provided. He has made me & my husband feel confident in the outcome throughout the whole process. His extreme confidence and detailed down to earth explanations of each stage of the surgical procedures have helped enormously.

I can not express how happy I am with the total care I received from start to finish! Honestly feel so lucky to have found Simon. The end results are amazing! Simon is professional but always in a friendly down to earth way. He is always on hand to offer constructive advice even outside of appointments by e mail which has been extremely helpful to me and I feel sets him apart from other doctors. I am very pleased Simon is my doctor and I would highly recommend him.

Mr Simon Smith, was the surgeon that removed part of my thyroid recently. He explained everything to me clearly and discussed all the options and made me feel that I was in good hands. It is only two days after my surgery and I am feeling well, my voice is back to normal and the wound does not give me pain and so I believe he has done a good job. I will be having a follow up meeting with him soon and feel confident that all will be well, but if it is not I am sure he will be able to deal with anything. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Smith.

After seeing Simon over a few years regarding my enlarged thyroid he decided it was time to remove it at the beginning of the year due to it restricting my airway. I was disappointed to have to wait 10 months for surgery, specially when my symptoms got worse over this time, but as I knew my condition was not serious I was prepared to put up with the discomfort for the time being. I was relieved to get the surgery finally done and Simon’s care and expertise on the day was first class. I knew I was in good hands. The surgery went very well and simon spent good time with me before and after surgery to explain everything and put me at ease.
I appreciate the waiting list problem is more of an NHS issue rather than specific to Simon’s department.
