After seeing Simon over a few years regarding my enlarged thyroid he decided it was time to remove it at the beginning of the year due to it restricting my airway. I was disappointed to have to wait 10 months for surgery, specially when my symptoms got worse over this time, but as I knew my condition was not serious I was prepared to put up with the discomfort for the time being. I was relieved to get the surgery finally done and Simon’s care and expertise on the day was first class. I knew I was in good hands. The surgery went very well and simon spent good time with me before and after surgery to explain everything and put me at ease.
I appreciate the waiting list problem is more of an NHS issue rather than specific to Simon’s department.
