Mr Drake removed a growth from my nose and used a skin flap to cover the hole. After a slight sting with the injections , absolutely painless. He designed the operation so my scars- very small and reducing - are in the natural creases of my face. I am healing at twice the expected rate - after 5 weeks [ stitches out after one ] the scars are pretty much invisible. He communicated with me clearly and precisely before , during, and after the operation. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for him and his team . It was a smoothly operating team . I feel lucky to have been treated by him and them. I am not a medic but I have some experience as an NHS Supplier and in Customer Service. I can find no recommendations to make , except to give the NHS and thus them adequate funding.

I was seen by the dermatology team at Brighton General Hospital for a biopsy and subsequent excision of a basal cell carcinoma on my scalp, with the latter procedure performed by Mr Drake. Mr Drake and the entire team were both professional and friendly at all times; giving opportunity for any questions or concerns before, during and after the procedure. I was particularly thankful for the atmosphere in the operating room which helped put me at ease. The nursing and support team were wonderful at distracting me whilst Mr Drake got on with the job, and the general sense of teamwork across the whole department was lovely to witness. My only criticism was that the discharge paperwork advised removing the bandage after 1 week, but the verbal advice was 2 weeks. I left it for two and have had no issues. The wound is healing well.

I was very reassured by Mr Drake's manner and professionalism. The atmosphere in the operating theatre was calm, with clear instructions and supportive behaviour. The local anaesthetic on my face was painful, but the rest of the procedure painless. I developed a faint at the end of the procedure, but again, everybody was kind and supportive. The wound is healing very well indeed and is almost unnoticeable. Many thanks to Mr Drake and his great team in Dermatology

This doctor offers care that is unparalleled. Caring so deeply about his patients and his work. He lays such attention to detail and is so incredibly skilled. Dr Drake performed a corrective breast surgery for me, after I was left in a poor condition elsewhere. I have been amazed by the results, and feel like I have my comfort, confidence and self- esteem back. He is not just a highly skilled surgeon and a master of his craft, he is also caring and responsible. I would not hesitate to recommend this doctor, and would encourage anyone with plastic surgery needs to book a consultation, where he will ensure you understand every step of the process, leaving you completely at ease and in full understanding of the decision you are making. You will not be disappointed by the excellent surgical results he can achieve, or the amazing care he will take of you. I cannot thank Dr Drake enough.

I received treatment for basal cell carcinoma in 3 locations, not 2 commencing 2nd August. That on my left forearm appears to have been overlooked in your report but does seem to have eventually healed, as has that on my ear after a second treatment session. However, that on my left leg still has not healed, despite your letter of 1st November stating the contrary, and is still being treated regularly at my GP clinic. They have requested further hospital consultation but no response has yet been received.
