I have had arthritis in my toes for many years and taken Glucosamine and Cod Liver Oil for about 20 years. This worked well until about a year ago. When the pain became excruciating. So with BUPA's assistance I found Mr. Vemulapalli. After considering the options, I agreed to a Cartivar implant in my left big toe. I was off work for 2 weeks. Went back to work too early, in hindsight. But now after 4 months I am walking without the arthritis pain. The difference is amazing. Fully healed is still to come as my toe still feels odd but having seen a podiatrist as well both he and Mr. Vemulapalli feel that the odd feelings will go. So top marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a colleague and patient of Mr Vemulapalli at Spire, Hartswood. My nursing colleagues recommended i see him as i was having a lot of problems with an ankle injury, causing me to have a lot of pain and discomfort after each shift. Mr Vemulapalli is a fantastic Consultant, he knew straight away after assessment what the problem was with my ankle, and after confirmed diagnosis, the problem was treated so quickly and efficiently. Before seeing Mr Vemulapalli i was really struggling to work efficiently due to the problems i had with my ankle. However, after appropriate treatment i am so pleased to say it has changed everything for the better and i can now get through a busy shift with no pain or discomfort at the end of it. I knew before being one of his patients that he had a top reputation in foot and ankle orthopaedics, but now that i am one of his patients i cannot recommend him high enough. I was so impressed by his knowledge, confidence and professionalism. Thank you so much Mr V!!

Explained my condition in a very thorough, polite and easy to understand way. Told me about my options and how he intended to proceed. He never rushed me and let me spend as much time as I needed to ask as many questions as I liked all with satisfactory answers.

I was referred to Krishna Vemulapalli by another consultant regarding increased pain in my arthritic foot. My husband attended the consultation with me. We were both so impressed with the level of information we received, my condition was spoken about at length which equipped me with sufficient information enabling me to come to a decision as to whether I should embark upon the path of having a bone fusion procedure. It was explained to me in detail the whole process from the operation to the lengthy recovery period, Mr Vemulapalli urged me to take time to decide. After discussions with my family I decided to go ahead. I am now 16 weeks in and am weight bearing although still in a removable cast, everything has been pretty much as predicted by Mr Vemulapalli. I have every faith in him and do not hesitate in recommending him. When the time comes for me to have the other foot fused I will most certainly be returning to the outstanding care of Mr Krishna Vemulapalli.
