I was referred to mr Parker at theSpires hospital by the NHS after years of pain in my knees. Mr Parker took great care, utilising x rays etc, to determine the best possible solution was to have a total knee replacement of my right first and then the left in maybe six months if needed. I was was extremely anxious, Mr Parker appreciated this and supported me in requesting my husband to stay with me. The Spires generously provided an additional bed, the staff were most helpful and Mr Parker’s team including his anaesthetist put my mind at rest and the operation was successful. The ward staff including the doctor and nursing team with the pharmacists involvement in controlling the pain during and after returning home was exemplary.. THe result is fantastic, the spires expert physiotherapist along with Mr Parker’s post op. care are helping me to walk better than I have for a long while and I’m looking forward to being fully mobile very soon. My experience with mr Parker and his team at the Spires could not have been better, I have no hesitation in recommending them (even the fish and chips were great)

Mr Parkar, is a highly knowledgeable and informative gentleman. I required two total knee replacements. Mr Parkar laid out the pros and cons clearly with what to expect, and a forecast of how long a recovery period would be required. His explanations were easy to understand and I chose to go ahead with my first TRKR. On the day of the operation, his team of anaesthetists, junior/doctors and nurses put me at ease with clear explanations of what was happening and why. This is a reflection on Mr Parkar who obviously has a great influence over their training and understanding of patient care. My operation went very smoothly, and I was comfortably back in my room by the time Mr Parkar came to check on me. I was able to get out of bed the same afternoon and was walking in the hospital corridor the next morning. After 3 weeks I was back driving and walking my dogs. I cannot speak more highly of Mr Parkar and am now looking forward to having my other knee replaced by this very talented Surgeon/Consultant
