Mr Andrew Day is an incredible consultant, surgeon and all round great guy. I had expected appendicitis although no pain. Mr Day carried organised and reviewed a CT scan, carried out and reviewed a colonoscopy and ultimately successfully removed my appendix laparoscopically. Every step of the way he kept me informed and answered all my questions promptly. I felt totally confident through the whole process. He’s so pleasant and friendly too. Without doubt the best consultant I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I cannot recommend Mr Day enough.

Dr. Day provided an excellent pre-op explanation of the procedure, and I felt very comfortable and reassured about the procedure. It is early in the recovery phase, but it seems to be successful, as I absolute no pain at all.

I have been fortunate enough to be cared for by Dr Andrew Day both on a private basis and via the NHS and on both occasions I have been treated with a very professional and clear manner. On my first consultation I found Dr Day very calm extremely professional and explained to me the plan to investigate and set out a plan to correct my condition. I had a colonoscopy which was inconclusive due to a stricture and was then advised that I needed a CT colonograph which was duly booked and set up, based on the results Dr day established that I would need correlectal surgery to remove the stricture and clearly laid out the road map for me and my family, I was very nervous but he made the time to explain to me in detail what was to happen and any associated risks. Dr Day also offered me the option of staying in the private sector but this would have been via a different surgeon or to switch to the NHS and be operated by himself at east surrey hospital. I choose the latter as I had full faith in Dr Day and wished to be treated by him and his team The whole process from pre operation to admissions and to theatre at East surrey was excellent overseen by a doctor that I had full trust and faith in. I am now 3 weeks after a high anterior resection and glad to say that am well on the road to a full recovery due to the professionalism of my operation and of Dr Day I am eternally grateful for his services and for the care given at the worst time of my life Thank you so much to Dr day and all of the staff at east Surrey hospital Brook ward
