I was initially very nervous, & did get upset in his Clinic when l 1st met Mr Dinah, but he was so understanding & caring, he could see my anguish & pain with relation to my hip problem. He arranged X-rays, then thoroughly explained how bad my hip was, & talked how the op would be conducted, always asking for my thoughts or questions. Mr Dinah was so professional & he completely put me at ease. He has a great team supporting him, & l could not have asked for more care & concern from everyone at Ashtead. To Mr Dinah: from the bottom of my heart, l really cannot thank you enough for all that you & your team have done for me. l am pain free, walking upstairs instead of crawling (& l am laughing now, certainly not crying any more !!). Anyone reading this and is considering hip replacement surgery - l know the everyone is different & has a different outlook on these kinds of things, but l whole heartedly recommend Mr Dinah at Ashtead Hospital, Surrey, - don't leave it as long as l did, just thinking about it, do go & see him. He will put your mind at ease if you have any uncertainties.

Everybody told me knee surgery could be very painful, however I found any pain totally manageable, I am so pleased with the smooth recovery I am making….the difference in my mobility has been amazing, all in time for Christmas

After my initial telephone consultation with Mr Dinah during the first lockdown and once the hospital was open to private patients I found that Mr Dinah and his secretary could not have been more helpful. He explained in detail what to expect and six months later the scar is near enough invisible and I am able to carry on with life without a thought to my replacement knee. I was so impressed I recommended a friend to Mr Dinah to have the same procedure.

Mr Dinah was the third and final orthopaedic consultant I saw about my knees and the only one who suggested partial (unicompartmental) knee replacements instead of total knee replacements. He was easy to talk to and inspired confidence and optimism . My confidence has not been misplaced. Unlike before, I can now drive, hill walk and kick start my motorcycle without any pain or discomfort.

At our first meeting my mobility was so poor that I was confined to a wheelchair, but Mr Dinah listened intently and immediately reacted , offering a solution to relieve the chronic pain I was in.
