My special thanks to Mandy Smart for her help and exceptional post operation support with my stoma. Being on a chemo therapy the skin around the stoma was inflammation and she helped choosing the right product to help it heal as soon as possible. I admire her amazing approach to explain every detail to the patient and teach them how to best manage the stoma. Once again a big thank you!

Having spoken to the nurse manager Tina I felt it necessary to give Mandy Smart a second review as she went over & above to sort out issues regarding the delivery of a new sample pouch .
I have now received the samples that were recommended and I have found them to be superior to my previous pouch . I did have a query after using the pouch initially however all my queries were answered by Mandy and I was reassured which has given me confidence in the new product .
Her knowledge of the product is outstanding.
I appreciate the nurse manager taking the time to speak to me and I would like to thank Mandy for taking my concerns seriously.

Mandy has been visiting me on regular basis and is always helpful and professional we chat about my condition and helps me with my ordering she has so much knowledge. Look forward to her visits.

Mandy came out to see me today as previously I had to cancel a scheduled appointment due to me having COVID . I needed reassurance & support as my stoma irrigation was less effective & causing extreme anxiety & pain .
Mandy was able to offer me advice & help to overcome this problem . She also helped me source an alternative pouch now my circumstances have changed . As always Mandy had full PPE on and reassured me on the current COVID restrictions.
Once again I cannot thank her enough.

I have been a qualified nurse for 30 years, working as a Specialist Nurse for the last 10 years in Stoma Care, Urology and Functional Bowel Issues. This has given me a wealth of expert knowledge in Specialist Practice.
I have worked in the NHS, Private and Community Settings. This enables me to offer high quality individualised holistic patient care. Acting with care and empathy and treating everyone with dignity and respect.
I work in the Birmingham area supporting Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust and Birmingham Heartlands NHS Trust supporting NHS staff and District Nursing Services. Providing a seamless transition from hospital to home.
My proudest achievement is being nominated and receiving a Florence Nightingale Award and for also being given a Nurse of the Year Award.
