Debbie was friendly, personable and I felt able to ask any questions. She confidently showed me what to do and it did not feel awkward in any way. She offered to follow up with me by telephone even though she was scheduled for annual leave. She has already followed up with my consultant and I have been contacted by DPD about the imminent delivery of the equipment that has been ordered for me - very efficient. Thank you so much for your help during what has been a difficult week for me, post op.

She is not only skilled and knowledgeable but also incredibly kind and supportive.She took time to truly understand my concerns, listened patiently as i described symptoms and fears. The simple act of listening made me feel heard, validated and safe. I was treated with courtesy, empathy and compassion.I will totally recommend her.

I felt I experienced an excellent consultation with Debbie. I explained my present situation and she listened carefully and went through the possible options. Debbie was very patient and supportive when I was using the catheter and I felt very comfortable and reassured. I have had this issue with my bladder for many years and the next day whilst wearing the sheath I was a different person and feel I have gained confidence going out I have had over 20 years with my condition and i can honestly say that this experience was the most rewarding for me and I feel like a new person. Debbie has an honorary contract with the Sheffield Teaching Hospital. Debbie supports our Rectal irrigation Clinic and provides assessment and commences treatment to individuals referred for this method of bowel management. Debbie is very knowledge and experienced in Rectal Irrigation and this is reflected in the treatment that she gives. She is very approachable and professional and has become a valued member of our team. She is always available for help and advice and returns messages promptly. It is a pleasure to work with Debbie.

Debbie has supported the rectal irrigation clinics at NGH for a number of years. She works autonomously. Debbie's vast knowledge and expertise in bowel management is paramount to the management of patients referred with defaecation problems. She is an excellent resource giving advice to patients and staff. Debbie is always happy, professional and thorough in her work. She demonstrates care, compassion and patience with clients. Debbie visited me yesterday. She was very knowledgeable about the situation and I found her very understanding and easy to talk to. She explained everything in a very simple way and I can’t think of any way that could improve her visit. Very caring.

Debbie was brilliant. She listened to all my concerns and then explained everything I needed to know to carry out the procedure. I found her very empathetic and professional. I didn't feel rushed at all and Debbie put me at my ease. I have found that as a result I have gained a lot of confidence about doing self catheterisation if needed at any time. She followed up on my carrying out the technique, on the phone, a number of times, again answering my questions. She also checked how I'm getting on two weeks after my op.
