Lorraine is extremely helpful. She listens to what you say, discusses problems with the consultant, and then rings back to offer advice. She is very friendly, yet totally professional.

I first met Lorraine immediately after being diagnosed with prostrate cancer. At a time when you are in shock she calmly but efficiently talked me through the avenues available to me. She is caring, knowledgeable and has been a constant reliable contact giving support helping to untangle communication issues between different hospital sites within the trust. In a time of health uncertainty I have found her professionalism to be a fantastic help, the NHS should consider itself lucky to have staff with this level of commitment

I recently experienced a very worrying rise in my latest PSA result. For me this represented the possibility of a significant deterioration in my PC and in the absence of my usual Oncologist I was desperate to seek some means of trying to stabilize the situation without waiting a further three months for my next review in April. Thanks to the good communication between my GP and Loraine I received a prompt response from her that the problem had been raised with the locum Oncologist who had prescribed an early start on treatment. This treatment is now ongoing and hopefully, will produce the desired stabilization in my PSA. Thank you Lorraine for your efforts on my behalf during this difficult period for me.

I have had the pleasure of working alongside Lorraine for the past two years. She has worked incredibly hard to become an excellent Clinical Nurse Specialist. She is professional, accountable and dynamic. She works tirelessly to ensure that her patients receive the highest level of care. She is fantastic to work with and is an outstanding team member. Everything Lorraine does is for her patients and they are lucky to have Lorraine as their CNS.

I have nothing but praise for the help, support and advice of Specialist Nurse Lorraine Rigg. Throughout the period of my diagnosis, treatment and post-operative care she has been candid, informative and altogether trustworthy. My prostate operation (TURP) was successful and I am grateful for the expert care and attention of all the surgical and clinical staff on the Urology Unit at RLA.
