Everything about my treatment and recovery was fully explained. I knew exactly what to expect. I hope that I won't need any more treatment but if I do I would have no hesitation in being seen and treated by Mr Arzoglou.

Mr Arzoglou successfully completed spinal surgery on myself recently. I was extremely happy with the result, and relieved to get the benign tumour removed from the spinal canal. It had been impinging on my quality of life and had become a constant concern to me and my family. Mr Arzoglou informed me that there could be serious and life changing consequences without surgery. He explained the procedure to me very clearly, including the smaller details, and the expected outcome of the surgery. At all times he was honest and realistic, this was very important to me. He enabled me to make an informed decision on the way forward. I always had confidence and trust in Mr Arzoglou to complete this operation to the best of his ability. His great skill has allowed me to return to being completely well again and he reassured me that that I should go on to live without the likelihood of this condition reoccurring. Mr Arzoglou is a very approachable consultant. I never felt uncomfortable or afraid to ask questions, he made time to answer queries and expand on information if I asked. The nursing team that support him at HRI must also be commended and they all contribute to a compassionate first class service. Thank you very much for giving me a great outcome, expert care and a patient experience of minimal anxiety.

Mr. Arzoglou was very approachable, sympathetic and understanding about the severe back pain I was experiencing. He explained very clearly the options open to me and was realistic in terms of not raising false hopes. All of this resulted in my feeling confident to go forward and have back surgery with him. The procedure was successful and has relieved much of the pain I had been suffering. Due to the exceptional circumstances brought on by the pandemic, which I fully appreciate, it took so long (19 months) between first seeing Mr. Arzoglou and the operation taking place. Ideally, it would have benefitted me if the lines of communication could have been maintained more effectively throughout that period.

I was referred to Mr. Vasileios Arzoglou in September 2020, after being diagnosed with Cervical Spondylitis. After my initial check up and examination. I was referred for nerve tests. Mr. Arzoglou rang me in February this year, to talk about my diagnosis of Degenerative spine disease. And the treatments available. Mr. Arzoglou was really polite, and courteous. He explained everything to me about the condition and various treatments including surgery. He was extremely patient and listened to what I said. I would certainly recommend Mr. Arzoglou to anyone suffering with spinal conditions. And would be extremely happy for him to treat me, if the need arises.

Mr Arzoglou was very thorough, ensuring that my problems weren't associated with my hips and arranging several tests prior to surgery. He explained clearly what the surgery entailed and what the outcome could be. When I was admitted to hospital for surgery he again ensured I was aware of what to expect and I felt reassured that I was in good hands. The surgery went well but I did feel that speaking to the physio over the phone wasn't particularly helpful although I accept that Covid has made face to face appointments more difficult (saying that, my follow up appointment with Mr Arzoglou was face to face).
