I was referred to Mr Gupta by a Consultant Surgeon at the Croydon (NHS) University Hospital. This Consultant who I later saw privately had been unsuccessful in repairing my shoulder and he said I required a reverse ball joint and shoulder replacement which he knew Mr Gupta could perform. Mr Gupta I found to be totally professional at all times, performed the Operation during which he found from a blood sample he took a Super bug that had been left from the previous Operation. This could have had serious consequences and he insisted I took a course of expensive top of the range antibiotics for six weeks. In conclusion I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Gupta whose personal attention is a joy to behold. He has two very good Secretary's and his charges were reasonable and accepted by my Insurance Company AXA PPP. Finally, he was very helpful in ensuring I had adequate physiotherapy and took a personal interest in my recovery. An absolute perfectionist in everything he does. I hope to return to competitive Latin American Dancing in the very near future

I saw Mr Gupta for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I'd been suffering with increasing pain in both hands for months. I'd had an electronic test and was referred to Mr Gupta. He was exceptional from start to finish. A warm smiling welcome gave way to a curtious and informed examination and a clear explained diagnosis. Mr Gupta went through what CTS is and the different ways in which it could be treated. We discussed these and swiftly decided on the course of action to take. There was no messing about which was good as I didn't want a long drawn out process, but I wasn't rushed, I felt fully informed and comfortable with the understanding I'd got on CTS. I had an operation on each hand to correct the problem. These were easily organised through his secretary and the operations were quick. Post op care was excellent.

Mr R Gupta the Orthopedic surgeon has always been very helpful and we could do with some more surgeons like Mr Gupta. Mr Gupta had treated my left shoulder in 2008 for arthroscopic subacromial decompression plus rotator cuff debridement surgeryn which I was very pleased with. I had a fall and fractured my wrist but having done an x-ray it was not revealed that there was a fracture but thought it was bad sprained and was given a split t,o wear. After a week or so I noticed that my thumb kept on drooping and had to go into the Walk-in Centre in Ashford Hospital. Another x-ray was done and it was revealed that was a fracture and was then referred to the hand injuries. I was seen by Miss Sarkhale who saw my thumb and said I can refer you for physio and if the physio does not help then a surgery can be done but this surgery will never be 100% successful and your hand will be in a cast for 6 weeks. Physio sessions did not hep much because the thumb was still drooped. I was then referred back to Miss Sarkhale whose clinic was running an hour late and then she could not find my files but straight way asked me if I had brought a form from the physiotherapist and I said no form was given to me and I am not sure which form you are talking about. She repeated again that no you should have come with a form plus she could not find my files on the system. She then said as explained last time that if the physio did not help then there is surgery but that will never be 100% plus she said you have several fractures on your arm. I said no I thought there was only one fracture. She had to ask someone from the office to retrieve my files but I am sure they did not have all the information so she was talking negative and kept on saying that even after the surgery you might still not be able to use your thumb. She talked so negative that I was really quite put off from the visit. I went back to my doctor Dr D Silver in the Staines Health Group and said that Miss Sarkhale who was talking nonsense and I do not wish to to go back to her ever again. I explained how Miss Sarkhale was talking negative about the surgery so requested a second opinion from some other consultant even if I have to go private. Dr Silver then suggested that Mr Gupta might be able to do private and gave me her secretary's telephone number. To cut the story short I was referred by Dr Silver to Mr Gupta who was willing to see me through NHS. Saw Mr Gupta a very pleasant gentleman who explained the whole situation very professionally and said that it could not be 100% but your thumb will be work because we will take one tendon from your index finger and connect it to the thumb which will help it to work. He said the ha d will be in a cast for six weeks and then will have to do physio and exercises which will help. Having been to see Mr Gupta, I felt happy but then I thought I will get the whole situation confirmed which I did see Mr Gupta again and he assured me that my thumb will work but it could not be 100%. I then decided to go ahead with the surgery. I have had my surgery, been for physio, did y exercises regularly and it has been very successful. I am very happy with the recovery and so was Mr Gupta having seen me after just over 3 months. I must say Mr Gupta is a prime example of surgeons need in the NHS. He is the most helpful person who explains the whole procedure very carefully and professionally and would recommend Mr Gupta to any patient seeking help.

In 2016, I had a complex revision reverse total shoulder replacement. I am confident now that I can live quiet happily with this new shoulder, and Mr Rohit Gupta, has given back my left shoulder, which appears to have further mobility improvements with the passage of time.

Right from the initial consultation Dr Gupta was extremely informative and helpful. He explained all the risks involved with having arthroscopic labral surgery whilst assuring me there was a high chance of a positive outcome through the surgery. From the initial scans my diagnosis was slightly inconclusive so Dr Gupta explained my options thoroughly and I opted for a surgical exploration. I'm glad I did as he found a 270 degree tear of the labrum. The follow up care by Dr Gupta was brilliant and I'm pleased to say 5 months down the line I'm all fixed after 6years of pain and discomfort. Dr Gupta is a credit to the NHS
