I'm concerned as to why the wound became infected (requiring antibiotics) while the original dressing was in place. Other than that it was a successful result.

I was made to feel at ease before and throughout the whole procedure to remove a BCC on the bridge of my nose. There was good communication from everyone involved and this helped me feel less anxious. The wound has healed as expected and after 4 weeks the scar is barely visible, albeit still a little red, which is to be expected for a few weeks. Tissue analysis confirms that the BCC was completely excised. Highly recommended.

Mr Paul Drake was extremely reassuring & made me feel calm. I was quite nervous going into theatre, my heart was thumping, however after the anaesthetic I relaxed & found it quite interesting hearing him tell the others exactly what he was doing (Brighton Gen is a teaching hospital) Four weeks on & my wound is healing nicely. The scar is visible but nothing like the horrid sight I saw after the dressing was removed. When I first saw my face in the mirror I gasped but now I see why the flap cut was necessary & far better than a straight cut across the cheek. I highly recommend Mr Drake
& want to say well done to the rest of the team. The hospital is old, was freezing on the day of my surgery (the heating system was broken) it was fixed by my next visit but barely luke warm, awful conditions for the staff.

My procedure took place at the Brighton General Hospital. I was extremely at ease at all times and Mr Drake and team were always extremely professional but friendly at all times. I received great care both at the time of the surgery and subsequently with after care.
