Mr Mohammad Faisal recently carried out total Bi-lateral Super-path hip surgery. Like any other patient, i was extremely shocked to learn that i had Osteo-arthritis in both hips. However, Mr Faisal delivered the news in a very calming and reassuring fashion. The left hip was replaced in November 2018 and the right in April 2019. I was very apprehensive, pre-surgery, on both occasions. And on both occasions Mr Faisal put me at ease. Now, six weeks in to recovery from hip-replacement 2, i am delighted to be pain free and looking forward to playing golf again (about another 6 weeks). I am going to have a couple of cheeky little holidays in the meantime. Mr Faisal is a very charming, approachable and intelligent man. Hopefully at my age (60), i will not need any more hip replacements in the future, but if i do, i know just the man to call. Michael O'Toole

Just had a total hip replacement by Mr Faisal. He was very professional and made a very neat and competent job. He is very easy to talk to and I felt very reassured and safe under his care. After just one month I am free of the restrictions placed on sitting etc and using just one walking stick. The pain has almost gone and it is just getting scar tissue to soften and full movement to return. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a total hip replacement.

Over the course of a few years I was finding it harder to walk any distance with increasing discomfort during the day and at night. Eventually, I knew I had to do something about it. I went to the talk about hip replacement at the Nuffield and followed up with xrays which showed 1 hip and 2 knees were worn out. After a lot of research I decided on Superpath and arranged to meet Mr Faisal. I immediately liked him and found that he explained everything to me in a straightforward way that made me feel comfortable with everything. I went ahead with my hip replacement which was far less of a drama than I expected. I was back home in no time, walking more every day. I met Mr Faisal several times after that, which I enjoyed. When we both agreed the time was right I also had my right knee replaced. I am now just over 4 weeks into recovery and pretty well pain free. Today I rode my exercise bike for 10 minutes and also had a good long walk (relatively speaking). Throughout the process Mr Faisal has been very attentive and caring. I have complete trust in him and very pleased with the outcome in both hip and knee. Anyone struggling with hip or knee I would encourage you to go and talk to Mr Faisal, he will sort you out!

Had a Superpath left hip replacement end of Oct 2018 in the Nuffield Leamington Spa carried out by Mr Faisal. I opted for this type of procedure because problems with my right leg caused by nerve damage in my back. After much research the Superpath procedure looked like it would give me the best chance of a quicker recovery and hopefully would not place a lot of load on my right leg. I am well into my 70s so hip replacement was daunting. We researched many consultants throughout the UK and selected Mr Mohammad Faisal. There seemed to be no Orthopaedic surgeons north of the Midlands area... none at all in Scotland. Mr Faisal was very easy to talk to and explained/ answered all of our questions, his manner was great and filled us with confidence. We live in Scotland and travelled to Leamington Spa, stayed in a cottage for about four weeks. The procedure was carried out with no problems and recovery was very much faster than many of our friends who have had a normal hip replacement. Arrived home about 18 days post op and was able to go up and down our in house stairs with no problem. All pain medication for the left hip was stopped about eight weeks post op. Down to a walking stick after 9 weeks.... needed because of right leg/ back nerve damage. Mobility is great now compared to before.... and a left hip which is pain free.

A SUPERPATH Hip replacement technique is designed to precisely reconstruct the hip without cutting muscles and tendons or stretching muscles that are important for hip function.

Mr Faisal also offers customised total knee replacement surgery using patient specific instruments to streamline total knee replacement surgery according to patients anatomy. The Zimmer Patient Specific Instruments Planner is the next generation in surgical planning.
