Dr Latimer kindly visited our school where a 9 year old patient of his attends whilst we studied the topic of bones. The children loved listening to his presentation including fun games like spot the difference between X-rays. Difficult information was made easy to understand and all the children were engaged by his enthusiastic and super friendly approach. Discussing serious topics he had the ability to reassure the children so the medical world was accessible and not at all scary. His kindness, care and fantastic humour made for a really fun morning enjoyed by both the children and teachers alike. Practical demonstrations and practical handling also had the children fixated throughout. We hope to see Dr Latimer again in the future.

Mr Latimer assisted me in interview preparation for medical schools. I found the meetings we had extremely useful; he gave a very good insight into applying to medical school and what admissions tutors would look for. We also discussed various medical issues faced this century and potential issues that could arise which was very interesting and gave some good topics to discuss at interviews. Mr Latimer gave both advice which was theoretical and clinically related advice and I felt all of this helped me get my offers and ultimatey end up studying medicine at the University of Cambridge. I would very much recommend him for other people and from his good communication with me I’m sure he is very good with his patients as well.

Mr latimer was my daughters consultant at peterborough. He was brilliant with her (she has anxiety) kept her calm at each appointment and when he came to see her after surgery. Couldnt have asked for a better doctor.

When I was 4 I broke my radius and ulna, which was very painful. My Doctor was called Mark and he was very nice and funny. I think he’s a very good man and doctor. The only bad thing was I had to wear a cast in the summer and it got very stinky!

When I was in my first year of my Nursing Degree I spent time in clinic and theatre with Mr Latimer. He is kind, caring and compassionate with his patients and easily builds rapport with them. He take time to explain and educate his patients about their treatment and care. He is also a fantastic and passionate teacher, taking time to nurture and inspire students and junior members of staff. Mr Latimer sparked my interest in Orthopaedics, the area which I now work. I have also experienced Mr Latimer’s care as a patient too for both myself and my son where we both experienced amazing care. Thank you.
