Showing me the MRI scan and explaining what was happening to my back and why I was having so much pain and why it was making it difficult to do things. He then went on to explain all my options and the implications of what could go wrong and if successful how it would improve my quality of life. This in turn helped me to make a clear decision on how to progress, once I had made the decision for the operation and was admitted. On the day of the operation coming and going through everything again to ensure that I understood and answering any questions I had even if the question was obscured, coming again to see me after the operation to reassure that everything had gone well and that I had made the right decision. Before I was discharge coming again to make sure that I was okay and everything was going well. Having been in hospital a few times over my 60 odd years I can honestly says that I have never had such caring treatment. Thank you for what you have done and given me back my quality of life.
