Asked to be referred by patients choice to One Health .unable to walk, sit due to extreme pain in right leg. Appointment with Mr Bagga who listened, who explained simply by showing x rays and taking time to discuss next steps. First step was nerve injection which worked for about two weeks( as expected)and follow up appointment was to offer surgery in form of right side decompression. No rushing appointment, explained everything which gave me total trust in Mr Bagga. Surgery 4th January 2024 at Barlborough hospital(5 star in my opinion) Discharged early evening and could not believe the results. Maybe I was lucky but have had back pain for many years and now fine. Am now walking ,no pain to leg or back. Yes Mr Bagga is a Neuro Surgeon, but he is also a gentlemen who is a credit to his profession . Total trust in him.

Mr Bagga was professional, thorough and caring in my first consultation and ongoing consultations and he listened to how I was feeling and the pain and discomfort I was experiencing and he explained my MRI results and what options were available. On my surgery day Mr Bagga explained everything about my surgery and I met his team. After my surgery he visited to explain how the surgery had gone and revisited the morning after. I was given good advice about my after care and was visited by a physiotherapist who gave me some info and light exercises at home. I then received further out patient physiotherapy for my ongoing recovery. I then visited Mr Bagga for my post op appointment and long term prognosis and recovery was explained. I had great confidence in Mr Bagga and my grateful thanks for his quality and professional care.

Mr Bagga was very informative, explained everything thoroughly and in words that you can understand. He was very attentive and even called my husband after I came out of theatre to let him know I was ok. He came on to the ward several times to check on all of his patients. I felt confident under his care.
