My life has truly changed under the care of Dr Heliotis. I attended Northwick Park Hospital undergoing excellent orthodontic treatment for 10 years before having once-in-a-lifetime maxillofacial jaw surgery and words cannot describe the difference it has made. Each appointment with Dr Heliotis meant so much to me, from his passion towards correcting the bite and profile to his utmost talented surgical skill. I always looked forward to the clinic and was greeted with a welcoming and caring nature, he explained the procedure and implications with clarity to create an understanding atmosphere. Sitting in the hospital chair and receiving professional guidance before I went into theatre was so wonderful, I always noticed his attention to detail and his strive towards the best results. The day had arrived where my jaw would change forever and every step was simply seamless. It was so worthwhile, something I had longed for since the age of sixteen. Dr Heliotis went above and beyond and I will be forever grateful for his level of expertise and all his kindness throughout my journey. Since a young age I have never smiled with my teeth or always attempted my 'best angle' in photography, now I can confidently express a smile that I am proud of, thanks to his specialist knowledge and precision. I once thought my smile and jaw would be something I'd have to just deal with, under Dr Heliotis I can now say dreams do come true. I would like to take this moment to wholeheartedly thank him again, his compassion and care means the absolute world. He is one in a million!

I was referred to Northwick Park Hospital to the Orthodontic Clinic in 2014. I had difficulties with my chewing and my teeth were not aligned properly and could not close together. After several visits and assessment the team finally advised on the best treatment to correct my problems including having surgery. My dentist reassured us that one of the best consultant Dr Heliotis was the one who was going to handle the whole procedure. I had the braces treatment under the care of Dr Ismail for three years, going regularly for check up and adjustments. It then came to the time for the surgery, which was done in November 2017 by Dr Heliotis and team, but unfortunately I developed some complications after 4 days, my lower jaw wasn’t holding at all, it’s was so frightening, my mum rushed me back to the Orthodontist Clinic and I was immediately admitted to have the procedure again. My operation was then success with an outcome far exceeding my expectations. I was kept on regular checkup and since then I haven’t had any more problems. I continued with my treatment in the care of Dr Ismail, occasionally seen by Dr Heliotis and team in the joint clinic, making sure that all was okay until 8th December 2022 when I was officially discharged from the Clinic. I remain very grateful and appreciative to the entire team for their professional and compassionate support throughout my treatment. My chewing is now great, am a very happy, confident, pretty young lady, always getting compliments for my beautiful round face and smiles, thank you ever so much.

Dr. Heliotis has a natural affinity to explain procedure benefits and risks, in my case with a potential full recovery time of 12 months for the Bi-Maxillary Advancement, his open and honest discussion process during the preliminary assessment period was crucial in order to help set my expectations. Dr. Heliotis is a true "expert " and to some extent a pioneer in MMA surgery in the UK which is vastly under utilised (and to a greater extent not well understood by the wider medical community) in my opinion. My operation was a phenomenal success with an outcome far exceeding my expectations. Manolis and his team provided focused and compassionate support throughout the operations extensive timeline, his ability to deliver and direct his supporting medical team members is a testament to his professional abilities. A pure genius.
